so what?! with the other 2 entries of BBP it's still more then 55%! it's going to shifter twice as BBP, even with the POWER radio that BBP have it's still a big lead!

If you add the 2nd entry, it's actually 2:3 in favour of IGF. They will have to outsell it, by over 100k. They could do a Live Your Life enter at no.1, fall the next until it has a good amount of airplay to overhaul BBP completely. This the likely scenario, cos BBP is not done at no.1!

Whatever, BEP are dominating iTunes and no one has a chance at no.1 on the Hot100 for a LONG TIME...and the album will be a constant seller!

^ I don't think your statement of no-one else having a chance at Hot 100 #1 for a long time is true tbh.

A fake/bootlegged version of Drakes song Best I Ever Had made it to #4 on iTunes in 2 days and has vastly growing airplay so this is a contender for #1 when released, which Drakes blog says is soon.

Also, BBP's airplay is dropping now and Keri is #2 airplay, still increasing so I imagine she will go #1 airplay and when this really takes off on pop the downloads will increase.

LoveGame is strong on downloads with only one performance and increasing on airplay every week. I doubt GaGa will let the opportunity of 3 #1s go by without a fight so when a media blitz starts downloads will probably increase further and airplay will be larger by then.

I think IGAF will do exactly what Live Your Life did... take the number 1... and then fall but stay in the top 10 long time.

I think the next #1 will be Mariah Carey. With Obsessed going to radio next week, I'm sure they will do what they did with Touch My Body.

That's assuming it's any good and radio stations want to play it!

Oh I forgot about Mariah, there's also the new Shakira single this month.

Edit: Obessed UK iTunes release date - August 18th, I doubt the US release date will be much earlier than that seen as they'll try for another fake #1 by waiting for big airplay then release it so not many downloads are needed.

How can you call Mariah, a fake no.1???

The only fake no.1 we have had in the last 6 months has been 'Poker Face'! ;)

I'm annoyed at Mariah becuase it seems all she cares about is getting more #1s and she uses chart tactics to get them, I find it highly annoying when any artist does that seen as it's manipulating the chart.

About Poker Face, Poker Face would have overtaken anyway, evident from the fact Right Round never overtook it once it was re-added, it only missed a few hours sales anyway. Imo you can't argue Poker Face didn't deserve #1 anyway, it's been a worldwide smash, 3mill+ downloads, broke the spins record and got to #2 Hot 100 airplay which is rare for a pop song.

Oh and the comment I made about deletion of BBP was just a joke

P.S. LoveGame might not and probably won't get #1 no, however it will be a contender, which is all I said.

Edit: Sean & GaGa swapped places again.

All of this is BS! It was stated constantly on here, that they day before the deletion happened, Flo Rida's lead had actually increased by 3 bars. And yes he didnt go back over, but the wheels were coming off the song, not enough not to stay up at the top all week we ASSUME as his lead had increased in the prior 24 hrs! But, he lost the no.1 boost which GaGa wrongfully gained. Which meant her 'no.1' on iTunes and face was being advertised across the net.

FYI Flo Rida was off for 13 hours!! Due to his airplay advantage he would have needed to just sell an extra 4k to stay at no.1. Seeing as they were both selling over 25k a day, only someone who is rubbish at maths can't see that this made all the difference that week! Itunes even issued Flo Rida with an apology for costing him no.1 as it was EVIDENT!

..And, yes I agree Poker Face is a far superior song....but it didnt deserve US No.1, and will always be a default one!

But, if it makes you feel better to re-write history in YOUR mind, that's fine by me.

Did you mean Mariah cares more about getting the #1 rather than the music?

using your figures:

sales that week:

2 1 LADY GAGA POKER FACE 206109

1 2 FLO RIDA RIGHT ROUND 184872

24(hours)/25(sales per day) = 0.96(k per hour)

0.96*13(hours off itunes apparantly) = 12.48

He missed out on 12.5k sales, not enough to make #1

Saying that she re-works her old hits and ends up with generic music that gets to #1 via chart tactics.

However I'm hopefull about her new era seen as Obsessed isn't a ballad :D

Despite any past and future comments on this topic in this particular thread,

Poker Face >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>than anything Mariah Carey could ever come up with it

Certainly not a "default number 1"

using your figures:

sales that week:

2 1 LADY GAGA POKER FACE 206109

1 2 FLO RIDA RIGHT ROUND 184872

24(hours)/25(sales per day) = 0.96(k per hour)

Can you not read?!?! I said his airplay advantage meant he would only have needed an extra 4K to stay at no.1!

We cannot extrapolate the rest of the week, as on that tuesday he extended his lead, so we can quite comfortably imagine he would have remained their all week as his lead was not falling, and there was still a decent gap [he wasn't in imminent danger]!

As I keep saying he lost the rightful no.1 boost, and wasn't able to regain it! GaGa got it wrongfully, but i suppose that didnt last long anyway thanks to BBP ending the 'faux' no.1!

You clearly live in denial!

You were happy at the time, that the deletion happened! And everyone acknowleged that it was an iTunes mistake which cost Hot 100 no.1. Now you have selective amnesia.

Be happy she got to no.1 but dont hide from the facts THAT IT WASNT exactly koasha. These things are also noted in the record books.....so, in years to come there will be a NB by that no.1 lol!

"Boom Boom Pow" was used in the group performance, and Sean Kingston performed "Fire Burning" on the "So You Think You Can Dance" results show tonight (Thursday), so those 2 tracks should start climbing again

Huge huge lead of IGAF, ifi it stays like this we surly have a new Billboard number 1.

That lead is crazy.

JB should have a boost after performing on David Letterman B).

EDIT:

up to 41 (performed on GMA)

I'll start by correcting my maths, it should be sales/time not time/sales.

25(sales per day)/24(hours) = 1.04(k per hour)

1.04*13(hours off itunes apparantly) = 13.54k

He missed out on 13.54k sales.

Can you not read?!?! I said his airplay advantage meant he would only have needed an extra 4K to stay at no.1!

Firstly, that makes no sense; having an airplay advantage means you can sell less than #2 but still be #1 - not that you have to sell more to get #1.

Secondly, If he just needed 4k less/more and he only missed out on 13.54k of sales then his total is 198,412, not enough for #1.

It would have been a tight race but GaGa would have won it.

Don't give me no crap about #1 advantage either seen as both songs where all over the radio, tv, charts etc so if people wanted them they'd get them.

OMG, that smiley.

Anyway, there's no need to fight about the #1, we'll see how it goes next week.
