July 12, 200916 yr Nuh-uh, nothing>Ianto. The butler who breaks his master out of a concrete cell with a forklift truck.
July 12, 200916 yr Russell T Davies has said that although a fourth series is "ready to go", its airing is entirely dependent on the performance of the third series.[19]
July 12, 200916 yr Nuh-uh, nothing>Ianto. The butler who breaks his master out of a concrete cell with a forklift truck. That was epic! Speeding away in it too! Not exactly hard t catch but he pulled it off in style!
July 12, 200916 yr oo it sounds like a forth series is definite then seeing how the rating were really good and consistent. If a 13 ep series is out of the question then I would like maybe one of these mini series every six months or something and extend them to 6 episodes with the 6th airing on Saturday/Sunday depending on whether they are Day episodes like this recent one. July 13, 200916 yr I reckon we'll have to wait until we get to see what happen with Jack in the Xmas Specials before we'll know what's going on with Torchwood.
July 21, 200916 yr I have been re-watching all the episodes of Torchwood on my BT Vision box. Now up to episode 13 on the first series. I miss Ianto! :(

July 22, 200916 yr Looking more hopeful for a fourth series. How can they bring Ianto back - any ideas?
July 22, 200916 yr I am sceptical as to how they can make a forth season. Ianto (:(), Owen and Tosh are dead and now Gwen's pregnant. Now I don't see her looking after a baby and defending the Earth at the same time. So if we got season 4 are we going to see a new cast? I think that'd be pretty lame. I echo most the thoughts already stated here that Ianto should be brought back.
July 23, 200915 yr They won't bring him back. Much as his character was popular, I can see that's WHY his death was so effective. And bringing him back would be a cheat. The main theme of Torchwood is that it is a DARKER Dr Who, where the good guys are ALWAYS in the line of danger and rarely live into old age. Bringing Ianto back would undermine that. And it would also be cheap given they already did the resurrection thing with Owen in season 2.

Still a new cast for season 4 will make it harder to want to watch the show. I just hope they don't add Mickey to the cast.
July 23, 200915 yr Question: Wow! Torchwood: Children of Earth pretty much ascended to a BSG level of fraktacularness. Is there even the slightest chance that the franchise will continue? Personally, I can't see it coming back from the emotional shock at the end. --Amy Ausiello: First off, we're only up to Part Four here in the States, so watch the spoilers, missy. Second, yes, Torchwood will most likely live on, according to T-boss Russell T. Davies. "I’m fairly confident the series [will continue] in some shape or form," he says. "I will just sit down and invent new stories and characters -- that’s what I’ve spent my entire life doing." Wait a sec, new characters? Jack will continue to be the show's central hero, right? "Oh, I would think so," he says. "I would hope so. He’s absolutely fundamental to Torchwood." (For more on the emotional shock that Amy referred to above, come back here tonight after Part Four airs. Trust me.) http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/07/ask-au...i-and-more.html
July 23, 200915 yr Good to hear. On Ianto - on the DVD Behind the Scenes its very clear hes finished now. It must have been such a shock for him only being contracted for 4 episodes and then being called to a meeting to be told :( I think I'd be proper gutted!

Good to hear. On Ianto - on the DVD Behind the Scenes its very clear hes finished now. But then again GDL was only supposed to be in the first few episodes of season 1 so it's good he was included for a lot more.
July 25, 200915 yr I hope the furore that surrounded Ianto's demise means more work for Gareth David-Lloyd. He was great in Torchwood. I expect you know he is a blues/rock singer with a band called Blue Gillespie. Edited July 25, 200915 yr by Pearl
July 28, 200915 yr This is the greatest show on Earth. EVER. More than EVER. EVEREVER. I've never cried that much. And this is true. Hope some part of the previous cast will remain. Torchwood would suck without Ianto/Owen/Tosh/Gwen/Jack. The epi 4 was the saddest. Can't f***ing wait for next season. Additionally, at first after the first episode of season 1 the whole show seemed to me bland and blunt but it grew spectacularly! Season 3 is bloody genous, not less. Fantastic.
