Does anyone here like the new track Perfect from the re-release? I really adore it. It should of been the next single from Overcome re-release. The silence had been around too long to gain interest.

The new version of Perfect would have made a great single.It sounded bland before the remix but is such a beautiful song.I think the release of The Silence was handled in a typically sloppy Syco manner.It should have had an actual release date a week before the re-release, it needed a physical CD, these are always good sellers at Christmas.Plus Alex should have done more than two big promotions, as soon as the song got to 12 on itunes she needed to do Daybreak, This Morning or Loose Women the momentum just stopped and an old song like that needed more.Really disappointed but I imagine she may have her first single from album two out as early as next April.

Alex did say it was between The Silence and Perfect for the next single but went for The Silence because thats what the fans wanted.

I am sure the fans wanted The Silence released but released properly and with a physical.I really wanted to hear Alex sing it live alot while doing lots of promotion.Still pleased that we got to see the video and she gave a fantastic performance on X-factor.

No, looking at the writing credits, the Bruno Mars song didn't make the deluxe version.

 

All the new tracks are good imo, my standout track is 'Before The Rain'.

Makes me laugh when people say 'properly released' so being available to download on iTunes and being promoted on X Factor isnt enough? :lol: Its so funny. A physical copy would have done nothing either so dont know why that would even be brought up.

2 weeks in top 40. :unsure: My favourite of hers as well, maybe just behind All Night Long.

A physical release would have helped it a little, I think, as the big fans would have downloaded the new mix, as well as buy the physical for their collection.

Would have increased sales by a few hundred, wouldnt have changed anything majorly though as in chart position or the huge drop on Sunday we saw.
