August 18, 200915 yr Where was it confirmed Aidan? Jarks thread a little further down the pop forum :heehee:
August 18, 200915 yr Ahh :kink: I know BB is very very likely but I've not heard it officially confirmed yet lol
August 18, 200915 yr It's not been 'officially' confirmed in the sense that her website have posted about it or anything but a ton of reliable insiders have all posted bits and bobs on the internet.
August 26, 200915 yr WENN Alexandra Burke has said that Simon Cowell denied her request for her debut LP to be a double album. The X Factor winner told Radio 1's The Chris Moyles Show that she agreed to save some of the songs for her follow-up record. Burke said: "I didn't want to rush this album. I know that there was talk about it being released in March. I just think if you're going to do an album and put your all into it, do it properly. "Even if takes you five years, you need to do it properly because you want to be proud. I tried to get a double-side album, but Simon Cowell's like - no way!" She added: "There's so many tracks I absolutely love. We've recorded a lot of songs, I requested to do that, we've done about four albums worth of songs. "I've done a bit of writing, I'm not sure what cuts are going to make the album at the moment. I've put my foot down for a couple of songs but it's a group decision for me because we're all a team and I want to make sure we all love all the tracks on the album." Oh dear. You're not Beyonce yet love.
September 3, 200915 yr PIXIE LOTT is in for a bumper payday after SIMON COWELL confirmed one of her songs will feature on X Factor winner ALEXANDRA BURKE's debut album. Chart-topping teen Pixie told me: "I got asked to write for Simon when I was more focussed on being an artist and I didn't have any time. "But now I've pitched hundreds of songs and they've gone to other people. A couple of days ago I found out one is on Alexandra's album. I wrote it and sang it on a demo so she could learn it from my voice. It's called You Broke My Heart. "I knew she had recorded it but now it's confirmed it is on the album, which is out next month. Simon listened to thousands of songs and it made it. When I heard it was going on I was over the moon." Your bank manager will be too.
September 14, 200915 yr Alexandra confirmed in a radio interview the album is called Overcome. Obviously named after the song that leaked of the same name. Released October 19th.
September 16, 200915 yr Dire. Seriously, 3 ballads on the album and they call the album after one of them, then give her this sort of cover? Another paint job.
September 16, 200915 yr I don't mind the cover that much - at least they've used the same font for the title/her name, as opposed to on the single cover! Plus, the placing of the text ismuch better than for the single. Not a brilliant cover, but it's ok. :D I'm getting into the song again now, I love the Flo Rida parts!
September 16, 200915 yr I agree with Ryan and Simon. The photo on the cover doesn't match the title and the title doesn't match what's supposedly an album filled mostly with danceable songs. I don't think this will get beyond double-platinum (not that that's not good of course) unless she's got a truly killer second single waiting in the wings.
