A January date would be a disaster and their sales could tank. January sales are notoriously poor - with the exception of major artists such as Adele. The beginning of December has always been their release date in order to capture maximum sales via the Christmas market. To deviate from that marketing strategy would be odd to say the least. There's nothing to be gained from an early release in 2017- absolutely nothing. Do we know which artists are scheduled for a late November/December album release, aside from Michael Buble who always pops out an album around this time :)

Off the top of my head: Robbie, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Little Mix, The Weeknd

Surprised we haven't heard any news yet...do you reckon this means it could be on air on sale for the first single and no time to build momentum?

The UK has adopted on air on sale since they agreed to last year's global release date. No artist has used delayed release since July 2015.

Two songs have been registerd today by TT on the songwriting website ASCAP. Called New Day and Lucky Stars!

1. Rule The World: 1,050,000

4. Patience: 710,000

6. The Flood: 599,000

8. Greatest Day: 543,000

Take That (4)

One Direction (2)

JLS (1)

McFly (1)

The Wanted (1)

Westlife (1)

It's a shame that with those sales RTW and The Flood ended up at #2 and not two extra #1's for them. Bleeding Love however has still outsold RTW (1,090,000).

The Flood was beaten first by Only Girl (In The World) at 1,115,000 total sales and JLS Love You More (370,000 copies sold total). The JLS song was a Children in Need record and also as usual with them was front first week loaded in sales before falling down.

TT even in the 90's were better than just a one week stay at the top of the singles/albums. Based on #1 single/album. 0-.4 rounded down .5 rounded upwards.

90's

Their average for 90's singles were 8 at 21 weeks averaging (2.6) 3 weeks at #1.

Their average for 90's albums were 3 at 8 weeks averaging (2.6) 3 weeks at #1.

00's

Their average for 00's singles were 4 at 8 weeks averaging 2 weeks at #1.

Their average for 00's albums were 4 at 21 weeks averaging (5.2) 5 weeks at #1.

Overall

Their average for #1 singles are 12 at 29 weeks averaging (2.4) 2 weeks at #1.

Their average for #1 albums are 7 at 29 weeks averaging (4.1) 4 weeks at #1.

Thanks nirvana! The flood is already platinum I believe, based on shipping and sales (originally)
How many songs did they do together?

They sang The Flood and BFG. Then they went off and came back on later to present the award. :)

I thought the roof would blow when they came on. :)

It is good he works with the bereavement group and he would also help bring awareness to the group.
*wonders to self if Gary performed at listed concert above*..............
