September 1, 200915 yr The fact that the remix alone got to #16 on iTunes suggests that top 10 for the single is perfectly possible. We'll know next week!
September 1, 200915 yr Author If a lead single is actually cancelled, I'd say that leaves the album's future in the balance already. I was just wondering if they were thinking of scrapping "Obsessed" and going straight into "I Want To Know What Love Is" (which is a BAD idea) for the 'lead', demoting "Obsessed" to 'buzz single' status. It just seems weird that it's gone completely from the new release schedule, it'd obviously do well (as shown by the remix charting) and the song is/was getting decent TV play.

September 6, 200915 yr The main song and the remixes will be available to download from Sunday 27th (the day before the album). Talk about killing a song's chances. :( Better news in the US though where Obsessed is currently at #11 and #113, the highest each version has been in weeks and weeks. I honestly think it's about to go top 10!
September 6, 200915 yr Such a shame. After seeing how quick the remix went up the iTunes chart, I think it would've gone into the top 10. Top 10 in the US would be great!

The remix is back at #58 again, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got deleted again. Just release is fod goodness sake. I can't believe they're apparently launching the album here without a proper lead single! Apparently it's added on the Sunday, but all albums are released to iTunes on Sunday anyway. It just seems really messed up already, she needed to sort this era out here after the disaster of the last one.
