I used to watch this in the early 90's, and have this week bought the first 2 series on DVD. It was hilarious then and is now. Anyone else a fan of this?

it follows in the traditional croft/perry theme... a collection of bizarre characters... it doesnt quite work on repetes though as its a topical show.
It's still a really funny show, obviously the fact that it centred around current events that were happening at the time it does kind of heavily rely on a knowlege of these events in order to get the humour across, and I could understand young people watching it for the first time and just not getting the jokes, which is a shame because it was a cleverly written and well-acted show.

we need such a show again... hignfy is tired, theres no other political/topical satire around... no clive james, clive anderson, spitting image...

ok theres bremner bird and fortune, sometimes, but there has to be loads of mileage in bliar...lol.

I loved it back in the 90s! I liked Sally and Henry - they were very funny together. Gus was a precursor to David Brent, very well observed.

It hasnt dated well, though.

I loved this show on Channel 4.

But being topical it has not dated brilliantly.

My favourite character was George.

What did everyone think of the final show when they tied up the loose ends regarding what the characters did next?

yeh i liked this too, discovered it late though, missed all the early episodes

Did anyone see BBC1s Comedy Connections on this Great 1990s comedy on Monday night?

Missed it unfortunatly, i was down the boozer, which i taped it though. Drop the Dead Donkey was my fav sitcom of the 90s, my fav chracter was Damion Day :cheer:
