Singer Rachel Stevens has been robbed of jewellery by three men who followed her into her flat in north London.

The men ambushed the former S Club 7 star on Tuesday afternoon as she entered her flat near Regents Park.

It is believed the items stolen included her engagement ring, a necklace and her watch.

A spokesman for Stevens, 31, who came second in last year's Strictly Come Dancing show, said the experience had been "distressing" for her.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "It's believed the woman returned to her flat and was followed in to the premises by three males.

"The suspects are understood to have threatened her before making off with a quantity of jewellery."

Stevens is engaged to actor Alex Bourne, with their wedding planned for this summer.

Bloody wankas'! Ergh :arrr: Poor Rach.

Bast*rds :( This happened to my uncle a while back, well apart from the jury. Lock em up and throw away the key.

In other news, Rachel is 31? :o

Thousands of people get robbed in the streets. What is so special about her? :/

She's a star, lad. ;)

exactly, its no different to anyone else getting robbed, but we dont see them getting threads.

No offence Pavel and Chris, but hearing pople say what you two have said as often as we do is just as boring as reading stories of celebs (if not more boring...).

She's a celebrity who has been robbed, it's fairly normal for it to receive at least a little bit of coverage, christ. Anyway poor woman, I'm glad she wasn't harmed.

Thing is, in an ideal world nothing would have happened. In an ideal world no-one would rob or be robbed, and we would all live together in harmony. OK I'm getting a bit "hippy" now, but this is bad whoever it happens too. It's just that it gets in papers because she's famous.
It's almost like discrimincating non-celebrities, i know its been said over and over, but i dont't quite see the point, especially Rachel Stevens, she was in a famous group what 10 years ago now, then had a failed solo career and then won SCD, it's not like she is even that worthy, no offence to your post but saying things like 'Im glad she wasnt harmed' what about all the people who are harmed every day by mugegrs etc but no one cares just because they arent celebrities, i especially when it isnt even someone who is huge, it's only Rachel Stevens.
Some celebrities (or so called celebrities less famous than her) get in the news for less, I think it's a perfectly valid story.

this is true, but just goes to show how much bollocks there is in the news.

I am with Chris on this one

Today in London and right across the country DOZENS of people will be robbed, many will be those that can't afford to lose anything, pensioners mugged of their pension outside post office, kids having dinner money and mobiles stolen in town outside schools, people being bashed over the head by druggies who badly want money or something they can sell for the latest fix, dozens of people far worse off than Rachel will be losing money and possessions today that they can ill afford to lose

Rachel is insured, she will still have millions in the bank so old age pensioners being mugged for their pension as dozens will be today means far more to me than some has been pop bint who can claim off the insurance

And the worst part is, the general public don't give a flying fcuk about the nameless pensioners being mugged daily....it's the pop tarts who garner the sympathy, because their faces are in the cleleb news almost daily, ad nauseam.....

thats really sad.

but at least she just got her jewelry stolen and nothing else happened!

The people who are expressing their opinions on "celeb-status", you're really getting into this too much. It's just a simple article in a newspaper/magazine. Yes "non-celebs" or "the average person" gets featured, which is a shame, but you don't need to write paragraphs explaining that you think about it. Just don't read it

Just a suggestion - Anywho, poor Rachel...

I agree, non-celebs and average people gets featured too and they must.

Many celebs aren't "that" popular too...
