June 16, 200916 yr Anyone know whats happening with official Shaki site ? It just comes up as shakira.com coming soon. I'm guessing its being re-launched with new single and album promo in mind......
June 16, 200916 yr Christ, that review has me amped! I'M SO EXCITED! And yeah Shakira.com is getting a re-launch before the end of the month.
June 16, 200916 yr oh my! what am i to think!!??! thanks Ashley and Xylem, what the hell is coming our way!!! the track sounds very different and awesome :o my mouth is watering like a she frikkin wolf. thank goodness we have quirky shakira cause i am lovin the original lyrics! they make it sound like LDLI/Pure Intuition type dance which is all good with me cause it suits shakira really well. my guess is that too Eighth Day, it should relaunch end of the month around the single premiering. apparently there are more victims around the world, no one in the UK! Phew!! but everyone be careful and check your closet aka cupboards and while you at it your wardrobe ;) i just don't know why shakira wants to set it free!! maybe to hunt it down? :hithead:
June 16, 200916 yr Author I'm in work reading that review and I've gone from being in a foul mood to in a great mood. I JUST CAN'T WAIT NOW.

June 17, 200916 yr Digitalspy review Earlier today we toddled over to Sony's London HQ for an early bird listen to the new Shakira single. Readers, we were not disappointed. Though 'She-Wolf' features some discernible reference points, including an intro that brings to mind 'Filthy/Gorgeous' by Scissor Sisters and a strong disco influence, it sounds like nothing else in the charts at the moment. There's a massive amount to take in the first time you hear it, but after two or three plays we were both completely hooked. The track begins with a pelvis-teasing bassline and guitar licks that would have done the business at Studio 54, before the chorus takes it an entirely unexpected direction. "There's a she-wolf in the closet, open up and set her free," an overdubbed Shakira sings. "There's a she-wolf in the closet, let it out so we can breathe." There's also a fantastic middle 8 that pushes the track into filter disco territory and a flourish of strings towards the finish, before 'She-Wolf' concludes, three minutes after it started, with some lusty panting. Oh yes, and did we mention it's a bit nuts? Shakira even manages to drop in the word "lycanthropy", which according to our friends at dictionary.com refers to a "delusion in which one imagines oneself to be a wolf or other wild animal". This offers a clue as to the song's subject matter, but whatever the hell it's about, it's certainly packed with ear-snagging lyrics. Our favourite couplet? "To look for a single man I've got me a special radar / Fire department's on hotline in case I get in trouble later." Right, final thoughts time. This is the sort of track that will sound terrific on the radio, terrific on the dancefloor and especially terrific as you strut into work with your iPod cranked up to full whack on a hot summer's morning. In short, it's an absolute smash. Do you like the sound of She-Wolf? Are you excited about the Shakira comeback? Use the space below to share your comments.
June 18, 200916 yr Author I think this could be an American flop, European/Rest o' World smash. Just my early cynicism.
June 18, 200916 yr Well they didn't really take to Don't Bother despite Shakira giving it a bit of promo :( 'Loba' (the Spanish-language version of She Wolf) premieres today guys! You can stream the station here, and it should play between 2-6pm UK time.

Missed a bit after that so don't know if it was played or not. didn't understand anything much else they were saying as my Spanish is sadly limited (well actually pretty much non existent !)
June 18, 200916 yr Yeah I heard about that, Eighth Day. I dno if they're still going to play She-Wolf or if it was all a big lie. :/
June 19, 200916 yr CLIP! 15 seconds :D It's from near the end, directly before the final chorus. SO DISCO! Sounds amaze.
