July 18, 200915 yr OMG! It's actually VERY good! (SOMEBODY HIT ME! :drama:) I actually can't wait for the studio version now LMAO
July 18, 200915 yr Author Yeah this deserve huge chart run, I really hope for that. Thanks Aaron :) It does deserve one, but I expect it to go low top 40 at best. I just don't think it'll get the all imortant attention from Radio 1. I wouldn't like to rant about them before they've even had the chance to playlist her but, if they don't, it's gotta be down to bias. As I said, if it were by someone younger like Beyoncé, it'd probably be huge. OMG! It's actually VERY good! (SOMEBODY HIT ME! :drama:) I actually can't wait for the studio version now LMAO  Haha yayyy! Next step, getting you into something other than this and "Shoulda Woulda Coulda". ^_^ Hopefully you'll enjoy the studio version just as much, though I'm sure you've already watched the behind the scenes footage.
July 18, 200915 yr Unfortunetly your probably right Aaron, R1 are never going to playlist this and i doubt it'll do much better than No Mans Land
July 18, 200915 yr Author Unfortunetly your probably right Aaron, R1 are never going to playlist this and i doubt it'll do much better than No Mans Land I really hope it can at least peak higher than "No Man's Land" but with overall sales increasing I'm not so sure. She really needs big airplay.
July 18, 200915 yr Usually when I make my friends listen to Bev they stress, but so far they are loving this :o
July 19, 200915 yr Author Usually when I make my friends listen to Bev they stress, but so far they are loving this :o Stress?! Her voice is calming! Have they liked anything by her in the past? I hope this is a sign that the public will like her lead single this time.
July 19, 200915 yr Well yeh cause they don't usually like her music. They love Shoulda Woulda Coulda and thats about it  I'm working on it don't worry

July 21, 200915 yr Author Really dissapointed as I loved the clip, it's very 'OK'. :o I'm surprised by this as the clip gave us the majority of the song (granted she talks over cut down verses) and only really missed the middle 8. I found the clip to be fairly representative of the final song so, naturally, I'm in love with it. If I'm being critical, I'd say the only bit of the song I'm not big on is the ending of the middle 8 where she does the harmonies as part of the adlib on the word go (around 2:25-2:28 on the video) as it's a bit of an anti-climax, she's got a big voice and it doesn't sound very well used in that bit. It's a bit of a downer that it only seems to be liked by the people who loved her anyway so far. :(
July 21, 200915 yr You know what would be nice? If i could enter this to BJSC like i said in the Green Room thread.....
July 21, 200915 yr Author I officially love you forever now! :) Haha, hopefully I didn't just hand you an entry that'll do better than mine. (though I expect I'll like it more than anything I sent anyway) One of us HAD to send it, people aren't exactly flooding here to listen to it.
July 21, 200915 yr ^I've done that a few times tbh. I gave LeToya to Johnjo, he came 4th, i came 22nd. Bev better not end my 100% qualification record i've got going.

I prefer it when she goes up to C#5 and then wiggles her voice down. Still not 100% sold on the harmonies though, they don't sound human! I suppose it's different for her to show a little refrain as opposed to powering through everything. Whe she comes back town from the note, just listen very carefully a couple of times. See how quick she runs through the notes? That is what you call vocal SKILL! It takes huge amount of skill to riff through many notes at such a quick pace. Edited July 21, 200915 yr by James2
