however poor the BP track is, i dont see the similarities between the two track's, i couldnt see BP plagurising such a popular band anyway (well i couldnt see them plagurising, but anyone who would try and plagurise such a popular act is very stupid).

oh and the track has started growing on me more but its till majorly MEH.

I didn't notice much similarity either.

In fact, if they would be guilty of plagiarizing anyone, it would be themselves...this track shows very little (if any) progression for the band :( I feel very much like CSF about it; it could be a grower, but at the moment it's just...meh!

A bit disappointing overall really, especially following on from a very strong album (even if the critics didn't necessarily agree). I can see this doing a "Mercury"- i.e. 2 weeks in the Top 40, then nowhere. Though this is a LOT better than "Mercury"!
I thought 'Mercury' was terrific, much better than 'The Prayer' anyway. I quite like the piano but this one does seem to drone on for too long.
'The Prayer' wasn't as good as most of the other songs from that record. 'I Still Remember', 'Sunday' and 'SRXT' were the standouts of that.

:o 'The Prayer' is brilliant!

Don't like 'So Here We Are' whatsoever tbh, the only Bloc song I'll happily skip.

I only got properly into them when they released 'Two More Years'.

I'm yet to hear the BP song that i would 'happily skip' :o

The Prayer is the song that launched my love to this amazing band

oh yeah although The Prayer is my least favourite I wouldnt 'happily skip' it, you are a disgrace Robert Lowe.

If it was on a playlist of other artists, I'd obviously love listening to it, but alongside all of Bloc Party's other songs, it's definitely my least favourite.

If I were to skip any song, it would be SHWA.

second time live...

snore. unsure about them live, first time i saw them they were a bit dull but last time it was much much better, last night's performance didnt seem very all that, also the crowd were a bit :puke2: last night, where as last time i saw them the crowd were ace.

I don't see the point in this release at all really... They have so many great songs on Intimacy, Trojan Horse should have benn given a deserved Full release with plenty of promo to get people into the album again, which in my opinion is majorly underrated.

they have finished with Intimacy now, they always do this, the release a brand new unheard single just to finish the album's era off (just like Two More Years and Flux)

I really agree with you about Intimacy being EXTREMELY underrated, but it really is a dead project now. If 'One Month Off' could only make #170, I doubt any other singles would do anything tbh. :(

what does it matter where its singles charted its a good album.
I agree. Charts ain't matter ;o
