Posted June 19, 200916 yr Saw this on Sugababes UK and Backstage. Decided we need it too! Post your passion of the Sugas, how you started liking them, etc... My Passion: Sugababes ... They are without a doubt the best group ever! They are my inspiration! It started in 2002 with Round Round. I heard it on the radio once and thought it was incredible. I didn't have a clue who it was though! After that, I started to look around for them in the shops more often. I bought 'Angels With Dirty Faces', and thought it was just out of this world. After I started getting the singles for 'S/AWDF' and 'Shape', along with their previous releases. After the release of 'Shape', I sorta lost interest in them, since it was a long time until the release of 'HITH'. But when that came out, I was back on the Sugas! I started to get back into them, buying 'Three' etc. However, I wasn't as interested as I was with the 'AWDF' era. Once again, after the release of 'ITM' and 'CIAM', I lost interest in them, since I didn't hear about them for months! With the 'TIMW' era, I thought it was their best album yet! Incredible tracks on the album, after that I just loved them! Even though Mutya left during the era, they brought in the best babe ever, Amelle! When I heard the new version of 'Red Dress', I just loved Amelle, as well as my biggest love for any band! The line-up is without a doubt the best they can get ever. My love for the Babes will never fade away, I'm just too lost in them. :P x
June 19, 200916 yr Great idea for a thread! I remember being vaguely aware of Overload but I was only nine or so at the time and it was Steps or nothing at all when it came to music :heehee: I didn't hear any of the other One Touch singles until a couple of years ago. The next thing I recall is hearing Round Round and absolutely loving it although I didn't bother buying the album. Then when Hole In The Head hit number one I started getting more interested. Even though I didn't buy Three I was addicted to In The Middle, every time it came on the radio me and my friend would sing the trouble/bubble rhyme and burst out giggling [/gay]. THEN Push The Button came out and I got really interested. After the Taller campaign had finished I copied my sister-in-law's Taller CD onto my iTunes and there the fandom begun. I don't remember being that into Easy (despite thinking it's one of their best now) but somehow when About You Now came around I was looning up big time and it's continued since then. Now they're one of the few acts with more than two/three albums who's every album I have in my collection.
June 20, 200916 yr My Passion: Sugababes ... I am just addicted to them. Cant.Life.Without.Them. They are my life, my inspiration, my all. I never loved a artist / band SO much as them. It all started in 2002 with the Round Round video, I loved Heidi's part :P. But the problem was that I didn't know which group it was. With Hole In The Head (I thought that Hole In The Head was the 2nd single of AWTF :P) I knew that it was Sugababes and I loved the name but I thought "Did they forgot the R in the name?". Hole In The Head was in my mind, I sang it the whooooole time. But I never was a huge fan of them till I won 'Taller In More Ways -> The Deluxe Version' at 'Life & Cooking'. I had heard 'Push The Button' and 'Ugly' and I loved them, when I won the album I was like 'Okaay, Sugababes .. I give it a go'. LOL and I didn't like the album at all when I listened to it for the first time. But I had to listen to it many times because I HAD to love it :P And I did! Mutya left and the most amazing 'babe Amelle joined. I never saw her untill she sang with the 'babes at 'Idols 2006' .. and she was SO sweet, her laugh and her face were so beautiful and cool :D. I found a new love for them. I got into Sugababes since Amelle joined, I buyed 'Taller In More Ways' and I was pissed that there were only 3 re-recorded songs and 1 new song :P Wanted to smash the album out of the window but I felt guilty for the 'babes then :P. I checked the official site many times and I wanted to make a own site too, but I just knew that I had to start from the beginning, and I did that in November 2006. I heard 'Easy' (yes very very late, but I didn't know that there was a new single from them because I didn't check the forums. And I checked the official site often) in November 2006 and I was like .. STUNNING! I started to work on a site SB Online, and it was online, with 10 visits in a week! :P I also won tickets for a performance of the 'babes on the first row. That was the first time that I saw the babes live, but they didn't sang live .. and that was a pity. Well in 2007 I changed SB Online to SugababesNL and when 'About You Now' came I promoted the site etc. And till 2008 I had that one. I changed it to Suganet and you all know what's happened and what is going to happen. I just want to say that my love never dies, I always get my inspiration out of the babes and their songs. I love all the news, gossip and little things from them. And I hope that they will go around verrrry long. Here's one to my Sugababes-fan-life! Cheeeers!
June 20, 200916 yr The Sugababes are truely the soundtrack to my life... I noticed them when I saw the New Year video and really liked it but didnt buy anything Then Freak like me came along and i was blown away, how could a group of girls be this dark, this cool! Stronger was the clincher that made me buy the album, such a raw emotional ballad. I hated Shape with a passion but i think that was to do with sting and also craig david haha!! For some reason Hole in the head, Too lost in you and In The Middle passed me by, they didnt really click for me, Then caught in th emoment came out and i just fell in love them all over again and bought the album. I was obsessed by this album for ages before the sugas once again went to the back of my mind. Push the button came out and i really liked it, bought my first single and then the album. it was the first time i thought... ''im gunna support this trio by buying theyre singles''. i thought the album had a very american sound to it and still think to this day it could have broke into that market! Mutya was my favourite sugababe and when she left i was really nervous about what might happen to band. Now Amelle is my favourite, she just comes across as very down to earth, funny and friendly. AND THAT VOICE!!! amazing. By the time About You Now was released I had already heard about it 2months ago because I was starting to look on forums (like this one) for news like an obsessed mental-case. Ever since then i have been a die-hard fan and probably will be till they break up. even then, i will listen to their music till im old and grey!!! cant wait for the new album!!!
June 21, 200916 yr I heard Overload somewhere but it never registered with me. Then Round Round caught my attention one day on a music channel and i fell in love  I got the album for xmas and i was hooked. When Hole In The Head was released i bought my first SugaSingle and i got the album when i came out. I was hardcore addicted. I bought the In The Middle singles and then forgot about Caught In A Moment. A while later i was curious when we were gettin new material and i found their official and discovered that MutMut [my fave since i first saw the RR video] was up la duff. I first heard Push The Button on it's first play in the Gym at Stirling Uni. I bought the single, then the album and there was no turnin back. I got the Ugly single then about cried when Mut left. I shuned Amelle for months referring to her as the Ugly Munter thanks to that initial promo pic. Then i heard the new Red Dress  she started to win me over, then when i saw the video i was stunned, she was actually fit. I got the re-release and Follow Me Home [purely for the collection] I joined the official not long after that and became a SugaLoon. I bought Overloaded and Easy on release date and i have every single on every format since Easy. Amelle started to become my fave somewhere around Easy, and it was confirmed on the Tour. Ever since i have been hardcore obsessed. Major posting on here and the official, and getting made moderator on here :cheer:
