December 17, 200915 yr Orianthi - According To You - 6+ out of 10 I found this song myself not so long ago, and I do like it :D - but I agree with Palmyra that it seems a bit average. And with Kylienips that it goes nowhere.. but it might get some low points from me depending on the contest quality. Krista - Temporary Insanity - 8+ out 10 I like the musical transitions from the calmness, to the rap - and the highlighted powerful chorus. This concept supports the title of the song, and really I love musical transitions in a song. Both breaks and transitions is coveted highly by me if used correctly. Again I agree with Palmyra - with the Evanescence-esque. Could get some points from med depending on the contest. Lady Antebellum - Need You Now - 6 out of 10 A bit average, but quite pleasant. Wouldn't get any points from me though. Too boring for that  Jasmine Rae - Pink Guitar - 6 out of 10 I really like the pink guitar  but yeah, as with Kylienips I can see this one getting the dreadful DNQ - like similar songs to this has gotten in other contests. Not a particularly strong song. My personal vote goes to Temporary insanity - but not entirely sure if it will do all that well though. But hopefully you'll continue sending your own sound to this contest Zech. :D ^_^ Edited December 17, 200915 yr by Freeze
December 17, 200915 yr Author Thx for your comments, everyone. It is appreciated. :D Krista firstly the link has gone a bit pear shaped I have no idea what that means. But hopefully you'll continue sending your own sound to this contest Zech. Definately. :D Although I already have to compromise a bit. If I would send songs of my actual favourite bands there would be some candidates for 0 points, I think. I somehow don't think that System Of A Down, Tool and Rammstein would do much better than that here. :P But I definately will never send something like Lady Gaga or Britney Spears. :puke2:
December 17, 200915 yr Author On that note: Does anyone like this: Manchester Orchestra - I've Got Friends nuixT3IGClY I think it's amazing but I also think that it's too "rocky" for BJSC. :/
December 19, 200915 yr Orianthi - According To You 5/10. Awful sorry. Krista - Temporary Insanity 6.5/10. Bearable but still not good. Lady Antebellum - Need You Now 7/10. Better. Really good voices I should say! Jasmine Rae - Pink Guitar 8/10. LOVE the US country motives <3333333 Still i doubt it'd be enough for points.

But why are you giving something 5/10 when you think it's awful?
December 19, 200915 yr Orianthi, sounds a bit like Kelly Clarkson, nice track but it goes nowhere. 1/5
December 20, 200915 yr Author Aah, f*ck it, I'm changing my approach. From now on, I'll just send songs that I really love and that aren't too extreme without wasting any thought on how well it might or might not do. So here comes the first DNQ. :D A live performance of a spanish song: La Oreja De Van Gogh - Jueves (live) UNafsteZPaw
December 20, 200915 yr ^ She has a lovely voice  but thats it really, there is no hook for me
December 21, 200915 yr Thx for your opinions. But why are you giving something 5/10 when you think it's awful?  I guess it's how my ranks work. :o

February 4, 201015 yr Author I will most likely send this to BJSC 24: Utada Hikaru - Devil Inside (live) QVk7DWz2Q30  Some more songs in addition to the one above: Charlie Winston - In Your Hands UfQbvn2ACzc Aloha From Hell - My Love You Are cDVrqL_s6Ss Would this be considered "cheap"?: Aura Dione - I Will Love You Monday (365) Xlj0pU5yVRw Actually, Aura Dione apparently isn't in the UK charts at all. :o She's BIG in Germany. For once, a number-1 chart song that I like a lot as well. Edited February 4, 201015 yr by zechhh
February 4, 201015 yr Charlie Winston not his strongest track, I've heard better 2/5 Utada United, scared the $h!t out of me at the start of the intro, I think its too heavy plus it could get tiring after a few more listens 2/5 Aloha From Hell sounds like generic pop, not my thing at all 0/5 Aura Dione, this could grow on me after a few more listens, its the strongest of the 4 selections but not strong enough if you catch my drift, it needs some kind of oomph to it 3.5/5
February 4, 201015 yr Utada - really great  Though I would go for the studio version. Alsos I wouldn't expect it to score well... 4/5 Charlie - agreed, not his best, I would go with Like A Hobo or Tounge Tied 3/5 Aloha From Hell doesn't show up for me? Aura Dionne - very catchy, again I don't think it will do well, but you will get some big points here and there 4/5 Overall then, Utada or Aura :)

But this live version is awesome, IMO. Edited February 4, 201015 yr by zechhh
February 6, 201015 yr Aura deffinately...she has another song, a wonderful ballad called ' Glass Bone Crash ' and I think that your country is pretty much known for epic ballads. Edited February 6, 201015 yr by Addy!
