unless they are actually German ?

I don`t know Pete, but I seem to remember German was being taught to 12 year olds in the 80s...Only to Brainboxes though, so B-rye must be a clever chap! ;)

at my school in the 80's German was taught to over 14's in options,

and the rest of us went on with French and Italian(!)

Bad grammar or a typo ??

Back on topic anyway...

14 NE STICKS AND STONES E.P. - JAMIE T 10) =14

I really hope this climbs a couple places over the weekend. Ah well, at least it looks like outpeaking Sheila :D

And I'm sad that MJ is not #1, but it was all expected.

Dave, you don't think I don't respect you finding out all of this information and posting it every Friday out of your own time, just because I pointed out your totally horrendous small grammar error, do you? Because I really do. I'm just a grammar nerd. Please feel free to ignore me when I go ranting about improper grammar

In my secondary school and schools in the general surrounding area, we are split into two sides throughout our time there - the German half and the French half. That decides the language lesson we get taught. I'm obviously on the German half.

I`d send all the info to you via email. Then you could do it, that way. I was being serious, rather than sarcastic.

Thanks Dave

Sad that Cascada are number 1, but at least Michael will have a big presence in the Sunday top 40 :cheer:

Really truly?

Alright, I'm fine with that :o

And unfortunately the Big Top 40 got it wrong! Just like the old days of the Network Chart (when they got it wrong on the Sunday, and we found out on Tuesday Lunchtime on Radio One)!

I don`t know Ethan. I got totally confused, when B-rye started talking about Year 7! Now, let me see...you have 3 years in the infants, at Primary School...4 years in the juniors, on to Secondary School with 5 years...and maybe 6th form. Although, when I went to School (1954/64), we left at 15! Languages were definately not on the agenda! I remember taking the kids to School in the 80s...and there was a German lady teacher, who taught French as well. This was when they taught French, by visiting the Tourist Information Office via La Syndicate D`initiative! Ecoute etc!

Before all that, some may have gone to Nursery School. Not a lot , happened there! I remember playing with Teddy Bears, Gollys, and Dolls houses...and crying a lot!

That's about as ironic as the song "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette that has no ironic lyrics in it. :o

I loved Ironic and the lyrics, one of the best lyrics I've heard :o

B-rye: it's ok then, just behave yourself :D :P

I thought the saturdays would have done better. Woho for cascada!

and the rest of us went on with French and Italian(!)

Italian? I NEVER imagined that.

i mean, we don't even do eurovision anymore.

i reckon the only country where it is studied now must be poland.

besides, it must be hell to learn... such complex structure

Poland? Random  Anyway I love the Italian language  There was no option to take it at my school though, only French, Spanish and German (so I see where B-Rye is coming from, but I only did the first two...)
