I saw this guy live last month and he was excellent, and I just want to show that my music taste isn't completely female pop dominated, I haven't sent a completely male act in a few months now :heehee: Hopefully it won't flop as this has been my summer anthem since I first heard it, I just haven't been able to locate it anywhere on the internet/get an MP3/make a video up until now! I reckon this could be a big summer hit if he released soon, but alas, it's not on the release schedule so I doubt it will get released in time/if at all...oh well :drama:

LOL. Thing is, it was apparantly a perfectly fine entry a few months back but now it has a UK release date (in 3 months!, yes not 2 weeks, 3 months!) it's "cheap"

Your strong position that 'it's only out in 3 months' doesn't work, it's a definate release from a very popular girl band previously finished Top 10 four times in BJSC. As usual, a song is released on downloads first, let's say, a month before the physical release, plus a little less than a month until the final of BJSCXVIII... the hype starts not with the physical release, much before.

 

I'm not criticising or anything, but i just want to know WHY? A simple question. Is 4Ever better than any other song on their first album? :o It'd make sense though :unsure:

Yes, well it's my personal highlight of the first album and i still dont consider it to be any more cheap than anything else off the The Secret Life Of... yes it is a definate single, but so what? It's still not being relesead for ages and is unliekly to make any sort of UK impact for quite a few weeks yet.

 

Or should i enter Take Me On The Floor instead ^_^

to be fair, 4Ever is marginally the best song on the album...

The difference is Aled, now people will hear the song without the contest, so it's not as if it's introducing anything new to them (let's also not forget that quite a lot of participants will already know 4Ever ;)), whereas I doubt anything else from their debut album will be released - hence why something else from the album would make a far better entry than 4Ever, and why 4Ever is no longer an inspired choice for an entry - it's already pretty beloved by the majority of people on BJ, and the few that aren't already familiar with it wouldn't have to wait much longer after the contest to be so...I just don't understand why you couldn't go for another far more inspired entry on the album rather than the next single, regardless of when it's released?! :/
