Japans the second biggest? Isn't that the uk?

I'd use Irelands chart position for the album as rough guide for where it will chart here. It's not even top 10 onthe iTunes. FLOP!!!

Uhmm, she performs on T4, do a live lougne, some interviews and presented an awards at Brits. I know they don't help the song at all because British seems to lose interests in her but there're still promotion :cheer:

Oh wow, t4? That well known platform for promo? The thing that will generate about 4 more album sales! Wow I can't wait.

The promo they are doing with her is crap, live lounge generates little attention although I'm almost moist to hear what her cover version is...

No, it's Japan although their market has been going down alot. The Best Damn Thing sold a million and GF sold 3 million ringstones there in 2007 and she is only the 4th best selling artist there (3 Japanese artists were ahead her). Goodbye Lullaby SOLD about 100K in Japan in just 4 days (Rihanna only sold 78K there in half of a year) and if you still don't think it's amazing, i'll give up :P

It was #6 on Ireland itunes yesterday and i don't think people there really buy digital album that much. The official chart is mostly the physical sales.

Second, why try to ignore bigger markets like Germany, Australia, US, Canada and of course Japan to think this is a success and only focus on some smaller markets that she may end up selling like 50K at best even if she goes #1 there to think it's a flop  ? Get real, please. Who really cares if she's flopping in Ireland ? I don't care and i think nobody cares. Her key markets in order are Japan, US, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Italia and some countries in Asia. The only market that i'm afraid of flop is UK.

Anyway, Her performance on T4 was aired a week ago :). It didn't really help the song on UK charts though. This is so frustrating now !

I don't think it's right to be constantly calling flop, and predicting a bad chart run before it's even released (in the UK). Her past albums have all gone to #1 in the UK, there's no chance of this one missing the top 10 even if the lead single hasn't done amazing. It's stuck around the low top 40 end of the chart since release, and if Christina's last album could manage #1, Avril could make the top 5, and I doubt her second week drop would be as bad as Christina's.

IKR ? Not Charting Tonight has the worse chart run than WTH and still Christina sold 25K in her first week. I don't know why he thinks Avril will debut somewhere like #28 in UK . I mean, seriously, Top 10 is the worst thing may happen to her. She totally can make that Top 5 ^_^

Shes one of the best pop stars right now. Much better Vocally than the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry etc.

If you don't agree.. watch the Performance of "Push". I cant post the link as I need 20 or more posts :(. Go to Youtube and type. Avril lavigne Push T4

The album is out tmr. :)

I predict Top 5

I loved the acoustic performance of 'Push'

Avril is one of my favourite artists at the moment  'Goodbye Lullaby' is such an amazing album ^_^

You DO realise i'm a huge fan right?

I'm not doing it to slate her, i'm stating my disappointment tbh. Her success in Japan is huge, that's great but tbh... I don't care about Japan. I want her to do well in the country in which I reside, the country that will get ignored for a proper tour if her sales are rubbish.

I want this to be top 5, I WANT this to be number 1... but i'm pessimistic. If anyone ever slagged Avril off to me I always said hmm, funny how she has a 100% ratio for number 1 albums.

Either way, I can't WAITTTTT to buy the album tomorrow. :cheer:

Shame this album will probably be her first not to get the top spot in the UK :(

In Japan, Avril is still #2 but there's a chance she could get #1 in the weeklies, only 5k between her and Koda Kumi now.

I can't believe it's finally out tomorrow, it seems like we've been waiting forever. I'm gonna get up extra early and go get my copy before college & I can't wait

That's my point. I'm not unhappy because you slate her or something but because you're so pessimistic. (i don't like it because i think it may bring bad luck to us). Anyway, Christina's Not Myself Tonight has the worst chart run than this but her album still sold 25K in the debut week so i don't see why Avril could do MUCH worse than that. 30K is possible

English is not my first langague. I'm from Asia so that's why sometimes it looks like i'm really mad and rude but i'm simply (strongly) disagree with you. Peace :P

OMG, Top 25 UK this week

She charts at #25 in UK this week. New peak !!!!! :D

Hmm... when is she in the live lounge?

I really hope the release of 'Goodbye Lullaby' could propel 'What The Hell' into the Top 20 atleast! ^_^
