July 7, 200915 yr but the weeks on chart arent correct as they are combined from three (or four) different chart runs and downloads
July 7, 200915 yr Just looking through some of the world charts, how come it only seems to be the UK and Ireland that have MJ in their charts?
July 8, 200915 yr Just looking through some of the world charts, how come it only seems to be the UK and Ireland that have MJ in their charts?probably down to a mixture of either the charts not allowing old singles onto the chart (eg in the US) or the charts at the site not yet reflecting a sales period following his death.
July 8, 200915 yr Just looking through some of the world charts, how come it only seems to be the UK and Ireland that have MJ in their charts? The German chart for example is always a week behind, because they show the 'sales' of two weeks ago.
July 8, 200915 yr Author but the weeks on chart arent correct as they are combined from three (or four) different chart runs and downloads I know it has multiple chart runs but these are the total number of weeks on the chart. I don't see the point of starting the number of weeks on every new chart run.
July 8, 200915 yr Author Just looking through some of the world charts, how come it only seems to be the UK and Ireland that have MJ in their charts? This is probably due to different counties publishing their charts on different days. Take for instance. Switzerland has 13 MJ singles in their top 20 this week. The list is in the international charts forum.
July 8, 200915 yr Just looking through some of the world charts, how come it only seems to be the UK and Ireland that have MJ in their charts? From the latest set of singles charts on acharts.us: Australia 18/50 (36%) Austria 15/75 (20%) Belgium 0/50 (0%) Bulgaria 0/40 (0%) Canada 0/100 (0%) but I don't think they are chart eligible Denmark 9/40 (22.5%) Netherlands 1/40 (2.5%) Finland 3/20 (15%) France 3/100 (3%) but you must consider d/ls don't count in France Ireland 16/50 (32%) Italy 9/50 (18%) New Zealand 10/40 (25%) Norway 6/20 (30%) Portugal 5/50 (10%) Spain 6/50 (12%) Sweden 0/60 (0%) Switzerland 37/100 (37%) UK 27/75 (36%) WORLD OVERALL 11/40 (27.5%) So Switzerland is hit hardest in terms of both entry number and percent invasion (though only marginally ahead of Australia and UK tied at second for percentage).
July 8, 200915 yr If I was buying an MJ track in any of those countries that didn't count it I'd have a rather bad opinion of the chart publishing company. In fact it seems highly manipulative to not count real sales.
