Since there's only 6 precious months left of 120 months of this decade, meaning there's little time left for cinema to wow us, I was wondering what your top 10s are so far.

These are in no particular order than chronological

Memento (Christopher Nolan)

Moulin Rouge (Baz Luhrmann)

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (Jean-Pierre Jeunet)

The Dreamers (Bernardo Bertolucci)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Michel Gondry)

La Mala Educación (Pedro Almodóvar)

Match Point (Woody Allen)

The Constant Gardener (Fernando Meirelles)

Brokeback Mountain (Ang Lee)

Atonoment (Joe Wright)

Very close: Lost in Translation, City of God, Dogville, Talk To Her, The Hours, Sideways, Chicago ...

Cars

Amazing animated film...until the other day, this wiped EVERYTHING from this decade out of the water...but now it has a challenger in the form of...

Brokeback Mountain

I've never cried so much in a film...i don't know what it is, but this film REALLY got to me.

Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen

Fantastic film...loved it.

I'm just listing the ones I've listed on my Facebook and removing the ones pre-2000. It's way more than 10. But I really cannot pick between these films. D: I love movies too much tbh. Some of these came out in the late 90's...sorry, I'm not overly good with release dates as I watched a lot of them way after they were originally released. I was only 9 at the time lawlz. But these are my favorites of the decade.

The Dreamers, Oldboy, Spirited Away, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, American Beauty (was this 1999?), Chicago, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Little Miss Sunshine, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Hard Candy, Water Lilies, Brick, Juno, Shortbus, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Bad Education, Children of Men, Notes on a Scandal, Almost Famous, There Will Be Blood, Wendy and Lucy, The Queen, Brokeback Mountain, Capote, Lost In Translation, Gosford Park, Amelie (might be 90's as well...), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Paris je t'aime, Garden State, The Host, Kinsey, Cloverfield, Pan's Labyrinth, Kill Bill, Inside, Irreversible, For the Bible Tells Me So, Lake of Fire, The Dark Knight, Teeth, This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Wall-e, Rocket Science, Requiem for a Dream, The Descent, Lars and the Real Girl, Slumdog Millionaire, Let the Right One In, Frost/Nixon, Up, Star Trek, Milk, 500 Days of Summer

If I absolutely had to pick some sort of 'favorite' though...Spirited Away, Chicago, The Dreamers, Oldboy, and Children of Men would probably be my top 5.

Edit: Oh wow, Nimbus you have an absolutely fabulous taste in movies. I'm actually a little shocked someone else but me on BJ loves The Dreamers and Bad Education. I didn't even read your post till after I made mine.

in no order:

The Dark Knight

Cloverfield

Freddy Got Fingered

Spiderman

Iron Man

Shaun of the Dead

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Clerks 2

Napolean Dynamite

The Punisher: Warzone
