Posted June 26, 200619 yr Easyer and neater than lots of threads for wimbledon so here is a thread for everything and anything to do with wimbledon 2006!
June 26, 200619 yr Author And yes play is currently suspended because of the rain :P..........................
June 26, 200619 yr And yes play is currently suspended because of the rain :P.......................... nothing unusual there Waits for Cliff Richard to burst into song
June 26, 200619 yr Ooh I like Wimbledon  shame the first day has been rained off though! No games have been finished yet either.
June 26, 200619 yr nice to see murray playing well... i much prefer his style to 'tiger' (pmsl) tims.... far more entertaining to watch.
June 26, 200619 yr My mum and sister are going to Centre Court next Wednesday to see the mens quarter finals hopefully. They paid £79 a ticket but drew the line at 35 quid for lunch.
June 26, 200619 yr if they held Wimbledon every week in the year you would solve the drought in the south immediately
June 27, 200619 yr In Henman's game the score so far is... Soderling won the first set (7-6), Henman the second (6-3), Henman the third (6-2) and so far the fourth set is 2-1 to Soderling, Henman is serving at 30-40.
June 27, 200619 yr I think Timmy lost the fourth set as well. Timmy is rubbish at Wimbeldon, and if he ever wants to win a grand slam (which he won't) then his best chance will be at the US Open.
June 28, 200619 yr Author Roger Federer is winning against Henman currently he is up 2 sets to 0 winning 6-4, 6-0. Set three is about to start. Edited June 28, 200619 yr by martyn
June 28, 200619 yr Oh dear, Tim is having a mare :( if he wasn't playing Federer now though I think he could have gone quite far as he played ok in the first round.
June 28, 200619 yr No surprise that Timmy's out. If he ever wants to win a grand slam then the US Open will be his best shot now but Timmy's past his best now IMO.
June 28, 200619 yr I think Tim Henman is about to give up, I can't really see him winning a major tournament, this country has the worst tennis players, and I can't even remember when the last British player won it, I think it was Virginia Wade 1977.
June 29, 200619 yr well done federer. i predict him to win this year. Safe bet. I ain't no tennis expert but I don't think there's anybody capeable of beating Federer unless there is a real shock on the cards.
June 30, 200619 yr tiger tim?.... hes a second rate pussycat. hes boring as hell to watch as he only plays to the max for 10% of the time.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. murray though is much better, he is aggressive, lively, entertaining.

Totally agreed mate... Someone of Henman's supposed 'ability' should've been able to take at least one set off Federer, instead, Henman was annihilated by a vastly superior player.... Of course, if Federer actually wins the thing, you'll get these idiot pundits who'll say, "Well, Tim did alright really, there's no disgrace in losing to the winner of a tournament....". Bollocks... If Henman had lost a titanic 5-set, four-hour struggle then fair enough, but it was a total slaughter and over in barely an hour and a half.... Like you say, he is a pu$$y, always has been really..... -_-
