June 30, 200619 yr Totally agreed mate... Someone of Henman's supposed 'ability' should've been able to take at least one set off Federer, instead, Henman was annihilated by a vastly superior player.... Of course, if Federer actually wins the thing, you'll get these idiot pundits who'll say, "Well, Tim did alright really, there's no disgrace in losing to the winner of a tournament....". Bollocks... If Henman had lost a titanic 5-set, four-hour struggle then fair enough, but it was a total slaughter and over in barely an hour and a half.... Like you say, he is a pu$$y, always has been really..... -_- At least "Terrapin" Tim managed Four consecutive Wimbledon Semi-Finals and Seven Years ranked inside the World Top10. Let's see if Andy "Anyone but England" Murray goes on to achieve this level of "Failure".
July 1, 200619 yr Well Done to super Scottish wunderkid Andy Murray beating the world #2 Andy Roddick in straight sets. Something to cheer up about. :yahoo: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :yahoo:
July 1, 200619 yr I'm proud of Murray, but he's representing Britain so everyone should be proud of him.
July 1, 200619 yr I'm proud of Murray, but he's representing Britain so everyone should be proud of him. Andy Murray has said himself that he sees himself as Scottish first & British second.
July 1, 200619 yr Well Done to super Scottish wunderkid Andy Murray beating the world #2 Andy Roddick in straight sets. Something to cheer up about. :yahoo: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :yahoo: Oh well, we have our British Tennis player to cheer now :cheer: now just like Henman he's probably going to be called a failure for ONLY getting to the semis or the quarters each year ignoring the fact that he was the best british player in YEARS. -_-
July 1, 200619 yr Andy Murray has said himself that he sees himself as Scottish first & British second. I'm sure if you asked Henman he would probably say he was English first as well. Except he's actually $h!t,tbh.
July 1, 200619 yr Andy Murray has said himself that he sees himself as Scottish first & British second. I don't understand that comment. 99.9% of Scottish people would say the same thing ( if they see themselves as British at all). Why is Murray saying that considered unusual or somehow really radical?
July 1, 200619 yr Its fine that he thinks this as i'm sure most Scottish people consider themselves Scottish before English, like I consider myslef English before British. Anyway on the topic of Murray he performed brillaintley today. I only saw a bit of the highlights but he had a brilliant range of shots on him and looked top class yesterday. I still don't think he'll win it this year as Federer still looks unbeatable on grass but you never know.
July 1, 200619 yr No. Can't see anyone beating Federer this year ( at least on grass). Murray played a brilliant match today. I saw most of it ( well, flicking between that and the footy to be honest).
July 2, 200619 yr Murray played very well, however he is too obsessed with being Scottish, it's quite tiresome. In tennis, he represents the UK - NOT just Scotland, and the sooner he gets over it the better. Tim Henman has always stated he is British, not English and has Union Jacks and stuff.
July 2, 200619 yr Tennis players don't represent anybody. They play as individuals. They are not chosen by their country. The only time they 'play' for their country is in the Davis Cup. You don't hear national anthems being played at tennis matches when somebody wins. They don't wear their country's vest. Murray is Scottish. Of course he's proud. If I was a world famous tennis player I wouldn't be wrapping myself in a Union Jack either. If English tennis fans don't like that fact then fine. Nobody is forcing you to support him. Support whoever you like. I supported Bjorn Borg for manys a year. I didn't care he wasn't Scottish. :) ( Oh and I never ever supported Tim Henman. It didn't even cross my mind to do so).
July 8, 200619 yr Annalese (sp?) Moursesmo of France won the Ladies' Singles today, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 against Justine Henin-Hardenne (Belgium). ^_^
July 8, 200619 yr amelie mauresmo is the right name. well done. her first win on wimbleodn and she finally didn't choke this time.
July 8, 200619 yr amelie mauresmo is the right name. Can't remember the last time a French woman won Wimbledon, well not in the past 30 years.
July 8, 200619 yr I was surprised. Thought Henin would win today. -_- Maybe a French person winning Wimbledon is a good omen for the Footy Final. Oh and I'd like to see Nadal winning tomorrow but don't expect him to. :( (Fed is ok though :) )
July 8, 200619 yr Can't remember the last time a French woman won Wimbledon, well not in the past 30 years. Not surprised you can't remember Mikey. It was Suzanne Lenglen in 1925. -_- ( I remember it well ;) )
