August 6, 200915 yr Luckily they're releasing in a really weak week, #1 - 130,000 Altho any other week and I'd say around 90,000...
August 11, 200915 yr what was first week sales for ''Whatewer ..'' and ''Flourecent ..'' I dont think that they will sold more than 80,000 in first week. :(
August 11, 200915 yr what was first week sales for ''Whatewer ..'' and ''Flourecent ..'' I dont think that they will sold more than 80,000 in first week. :( WPSIATWIN sold about 340,000 I think? Was the highest selling ever debut album at the time, and still is for a band. FWN sold about 230,000
August 11, 200915 yr I think it's pretty certain it'll be #1. Saleswise, I'm not too sure tbh. Obviously lower than the first two albums' debuts, but I still think over 100,000. I'll say 124,000
August 11, 200915 yr WPSIATWIN sold about 340,000 I think? Was the highest selling ever debut album at the time, and still is for a band. FWN sold about 230,000 that is really awesome, but i still think, that Humbug will not reach 100,000.
August 11, 200915 yr that is really awesome, but i still think, that Humbug will not reach 100,000. I think it will. Especially off the back of Reading and Leeds which will be over the TV and radio in the UK. I don't think the album leaking that early is really gonna help things though!
August 12, 200915 yr i think that everyone will have his copy ...now... and it s definitely not right for the band and their music not only for the sales but especially for the sound quality. the terrible sound quality of these songs...as i v said before "people wait to buy the real thing"!!! i m trying not to hear these tracks and waiting to buy the album...in a few days
September 1, 200915 yr I knew it. Space was so close in prediction  oops!!!! 96313 to MY #1 with 94.352 copies really lol now!
September 1, 200915 yr we need albums like this in the top 10 we need albums and music like this in the charts when everything else (indie) seems slowly (or quickly) to fade away (i m talkiing only for charts and not for quality music) kids should hear something different and arctic monkeys can still be the flag/door to difference
September 2, 200915 yr I agree Space. But this genre of music doesn't seem to be 'in' at the moment. It still sells well, but the cycle of popular music at the moment is with electro pop/RnB with heavy basslines. The chart is full of it at the moment. I dare say it will go out of fashion eventually though. The problem indie/alternative acts are having at the moment is albums. Physical albums can no longer sell a mass amount, so they're losing a lot of sales and exposure through the charts. Not sure how the genre is going to get through the technological shift personally, but i'm sure they'll find something then the bigger labels will copy them.
