Any idea when thats out? As I'm sure I read it was originally due out in August.

Pushed back to October - probably because many of the artists are abroad at the moment and couldn't do UK promo! I thought I read that Pixie and VV were in the USA in October but I must be wrong!

Mary Pearce isn't credited on the cover of Ready For The Weekend, does that make her not count?

If you start including everyone who sings on a track who isn't credited, then there are probably some backup singers out there who have had more #1s than these artists combined  .

Outta Here is ok at best... not really a fan.

Hopefully Silly Boy does much better

Unfortunately it is a huge (unexpected to me) flop; unless some late promo makes it a belated hit.

In the UK it has been available to buy on iTunes and Amazon since July 31st and 7Digital since 2nd August; but it failed to make the Radio 1 Playlist when put forward two weeks ago; and it has yet to be playlisted by any of the UK music video channels.

:(

Akon number 1! Looks set to be be #1 next week then ! woo
'Silly Boy' wasn't added to UK iTunes on 31st July, they put the date as the date it is released worldwide, for example, 'Sexy Bitch' by David Guetta and Akon was released onto UK iTunes this Friday, however the date on the iTunes 'product' says it was released on 24th July 2009

But it *was* released on I think 8th August or so? So it's still a huge flop so far

Well I definitely bought it on iTunes on August 2nd.

Silly Boy isn't 'out' properly until October here in the UK.

It's like when they added Love Sex Magic a month early too... exact same thing.

But it IS out and has been out for a fortnight to buy on iTunes; 7Digital & Amazon in the UK. Yet the very fact it is it has not been bought in sufficent qualities to make the UK Top 200 - largely due to the single not (yet) picking up Radio and Video airplay.

Hence it looks like it is another The Girl And The Robot sized flop.

Really pleased at how long Noisettes have stayed up ^_^

I think it's far too early to call 'Silly Boy' a flop.

Yes it may have been digitally available for a couple of weeks, but there's still plenty of time...

Exactly. It's the biggest online hit in a while, had over ten million youtube views etc etc. It hasn't flopped if it hasn't even been fully released anywhere. . how are people supposed to know they can even buy the track if it's yet to be playlisted anywhere. Her label is still busy with the formation of her album which they'd rumoured to release a week after Silly Boy. So they're taking their time with her as a project to make it as successful as possible. You can't expect them to go straight to the song promo when she's only been with the label for 4 months even if the song is iTunes and not charting that really says nothing because most people dont know its out. I wouldn't have if I wasn't on this forum. It's most likely going to get pushed back. Next year would be an ideal time to release seeing how mash the pop market is right now and with all the other pop divas returning with their comebacks in the upcoming months.

Silly Boy is obviously going to blow up in Just Dance style (very late) but to a more Poker Face (global string of no.1s) extent. People just don't know its out yet like most of the world never knew Just Dance was out in June 2008. .

Such a BADDDDD number 1... but it's OK, more than half of the song that reached number 1 were awful.
i'm sorry if this has been asked before but do you think it's possible that next week after david guetta's been number 1 i gotta feeling could get to number 1 again? if so, would that be the first time that a song's ever returned to number 1 twice?
