It was readded. . It sold 2075 copies in 2008 from when it was digitally released globablly ofcourse in the UK nobody knew who GaGa was in June 2008 so it got deleted off iTunes so it could smash later on which it did. .

yeh i had one too...tbh i dont think the quality was that high for me i had about twelve songs i wanted to vot for and then some less average ones and then pure run of the mill stuff im afraid.....XVIII was much higher

I think it's only you and Aaron who regard Eva as cheap and saying that Eva was considered cheap from the get go and Mini Viva wasn't is completely unjustified because when I confirmed it/reserved it - it never had a music video, it wasn't going to get a worldwide release and it was just going to be another wasted demo which at the time it was rumoured to be.

It was only after a while after I confirmed that all that came about and Aaron named Eva as cheaper than Brandy out of defence from someone calling Brandy uninspired. Nobody else seems to think it's cheap. You should know well that I would rather not participate in a contest at all than send something cheap and uninspired and likewise with Eva.

And just because Eva is now prejudged, after being added onto iTunes and not having any effect, as a flop or because she's with EMI Records won't influence anyone to give it any more or any less points AT ALL. It's the song itself, if it wasn't then how did Brandy get through as an example, because it's a great song, no matter from what year or popularity period it was released in or about how high it measures on the cheap thermometer. The song itself and not the strings attached to it. Your theory makes absolutely no sense. . :hithead:

Are you just being generous to give so many 8, 9 and 10, do you really love the songs so much or do we have different "ranking standards"? If a song gets an 8 from me, it has to be really really really good and to get a 10 it would have to be a song that I have to listen to 20 or 30 times per day or I can't sleep at night. :D

People are giving such high ratings, because most people have a varied taste in music, however you seem to only like rock which only 1 other country (that I know of) is a hardcore rock fan :drama:

I thought it was pretty god damn clear from my posts that I don't regard Eva Simons as cheap. I mean how much more obvious did you want my comparison to be.

I was offended when Marina & The Diamonds was regarded as cheap; and I was hacked off when I was heavily criticiosed for sending Tinchy Stryder ft Amelle with a track that has subsequently failed to reach the Buzzjack Personal Chart Top 10 despite making UK#1.

 

But I had to respond to Kath saying that I was labelling Eva Simons as cheap; when the whole fukkin' point I was making was that it was the very complete opposite.

 

Besides the track I would like to enter in XX is not exactly an obscure choice.

Well, I don't think the boat has quite sailed for that yet. I don't deal with the singles chart but it was at #11 last week, still climbing and wasn't far from Cascada at #10. (who are falling) As it reached #1 in the UK last week, I would expect that to have an effect on this weeks chart.

 

And as for Kath, I didn't say Eva was cheaper than Brandy. I think I said how is it any less inspired than Brandy. I don't get why some people think sending an old song, that missed the top 10, is less inspired than something that's coming out within a month which is headed for the high end of the top 40.

 

Now that it appears that Eva is flopping (though the track managed to reach the top 1000 on UK iTunes when listed as Rihanna ft. Lady GaGa, it just need a promo boost) I don't think it's such a big deal as perhaps Mini Viva, Dolly Rockers and such. I always did think people were slightly overhyping it and trying to get on the bandwagon early, in case she blew up GaGa style in a few months. She still could but I don't think it's anything more than an average GaGa copy. Demo indeed.

I rather send someone less known so I can get other members interested in new music, rather than sending a well known acts like Sugababes, Lady GaGa or PCD etc etc

 

I must admit Ben (Medicatedsoap) as send some corkers in the past, and has got good taste in music, this is what I like about this comp you can really find some gems, and get interested in a new artist.

I think I've spent the last 5 minutes trying to order my 10-5 points but I'm still not any closer. I know the 12, I know the other 4 but I can't decide where to place the rest. When my votes are revealed you'll probably see why they were so hard to separate. :heehee:
