indeed a poor chart imho

not a time in my life that i was enjoying, so perhaps that put me off records as records = memories. but even now i cant find much to enjoy.... taking the re-releases out theres only felix that i like... 'dont you want me' though is a cracking track.

much though i like the shamen, i dont like lsi.

1992 was the year I began to be infixed with the The Top 40 - it was the highlight of my childhood almost, so 92 will hold some memories for me. I like a lot of these, even some of the very dodgy ones!

some great songs in there - but not many.

Career highlights from Madonna, Madness, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Smiths and U2.... and one of the greatest dance singles ever made, the phenomenal, seminal Felix track... but otherwise, lots of American blandness and screechers.

Ah, back when I was pretty much obsessed with what was in the charts. How well has it stood the test of time though?

10.(NE) The Smiths - This Charming Man {re-issue} // Ok, even though it was a pretty unnecessary re-release - great record.

15.(8) Smart E's - Sesame's Treet // Em, yeah. I loved rave records, the sillier the better. I still really like this.

19.(NE) The Wedding Present - Boing! // Aha! One of the happy twelve of the year.

27.(NE) Cud - Purple Love Balloon // Not their best, but listenable.

31.(16) Urban Hype - A Trip To Trumpton // See Smart E's - stupidity but good stupidity.

32.(27) Madness - My Girl {re-issue} // I didn't like this at the time and preferred the re-issues of IMBL and HOF - love it now though.

34.(NE) Faith No More - A Small Victory // Great and rather serious record, but they should have released Everything's Ruined second instead of this.

39.(22) Nirvana - Lithium // Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh x 4 - now THAT is a chorus.

46.(32) Sunscreem - Love U More // Decent intelligent dance - opposite of Smart E's and Urban Hype!

47.(38) Acen - Trip II The Moon // Brilliant hardcore rave tune with James Bond samples - still worth a listen now.

48.(40) Humanoid - Stakker Humanoid {re-issue} // A decent updating of the old classic.

55.(44) Julian Cope - World Shut Your Mouth {remix} // Gotta love Mr Cope

60.(41) U2 - Even Better Than The Real Thing (Remix) // Best record they've ever released

65.(48) 2 Bad Mice - Hold It Down // More rave heroes - not as iconic as Bombscare but worth a go.

67.(54) Rofo - Rofo's Theme // This became the Hitman and Her theme tune! Ultra-cheesy but annoyingly catchy

74.(61) Fatima Mansions - 100% // Not as good as Only Losers Take the Bus but good.

Normally I would include Shut Up and Dance, but 'The Art of Moving Butts' was an awful single with an equally awful sleeve.
