December 13, 200915 yr "It's not the failure that gets me, it's the hope" http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/46910000/jpg/_46910886_alonsogetty226.jpg Should have been easily 3-0 up at half time, lose 2-1 to two soft goals. Three wins in 15 = Pathetic on the eve of the 50th anniversary of Bill Shankly becoming manager.
December 13, 200915 yr Author Well that's football unfortunately. Arsenal got a soft and lucky goal through a couple of deflections and then no-one in the world could have saved Arshavin's shot. I'm finding it hard to care at the moment 'cos of other stuff happening, but i'm sure if other stuff wasn't happening then i'm be mad.
December 13, 200915 yr I'm happy :) Every result went Villa's way. Can also rub it in when I get home (Dad supports Liverpool), 5 points ahead of you.
December 13, 200915 yr Ferguson is such a nob. How does he have the nerve? Sir Alex Ferguson was irritated at the amount of time added on by referee Martin Atkinson in Manchester United`s 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa. Gabriel Agbonlahor's first-half effort gave Villa their first win at Old Trafford since 1983 and leaves United three points behind Chelsea, who were held by Everton. And United boss Ferguson expressed his frustration that Atkinson decided three minutes of added time was enough for six substitutions and two lengthy injury stoppages. "The timing should be taken out of the referee's hands," Ferguson said. "Those two stoppages took two minutes and 20 seconds, and then there were the substitutions on top of that. That is disappointing. "It is silly really. We are nearly in 2010. A change should be made.
December 13, 200915 yr Author Ah yes, how could we ever forget the obligatory 5 minutes of added stoppage time when Man Utd are losing at home...
December 13, 200915 yr Ah yes, how could we ever forget the obligatory 5 minutes of added stoppage time when Man Utd are losing at home... Is that not rule 194 b, in the Premiership rule book. Edited December 13, 200915 yr by brian91
December 13, 200915 yr A strange weekend in the premiership, maybe this year it will be much closer at the top and not a 2 horse race as usual. Looks like it could be really tight at the bottom as well this year. Are the wheels coming of Liverpool's season, they seem to be running out of steam and ideas atm. Pity as I had them as my prediction to win the title this year, oh well.
December 13, 200915 yr Ferfuon is such a nob. How does he have the nerve? Dunno what he's whinging about, United could have had 3 hours added time and they wouldn't have scored. I just think it's hilarious that whenever they lose or play badly Ferguson finds something to have a pop at. What an arrogant cock the man is. And as for Sunderland, our season is in danger of coming off the rails a bit. We didn't perform at all against Wigan, we didn't perform until the second half against Fulham (And even then we weren't great), and we were absolutely appalling in the second half against a very, very poor Portsmouth side. With Villa (h), City (a), Everton (h) and Blackburn (a) coming up before the new year, it's hard to see where our next points are going to come from. Can't wait to have Cattermole back, and hopefully we'll sign the full backs and wingers we desperately need in January. Edited December 13, 200915 yr by Mykul
December 13, 200915 yr Author A strange weekend in the premiership, maybe this year it will be much closer at the top and not a 2 horse race as usual. Looks like it could be really tight at the bottom as well this year. Are the wheels coming of Liverpool's season, they seem to be running out of steam and ideas atm. Pity as I had them as my prediction to win the title this year, oh well. It's just not our year. Everyone that seems to go wrong just has. It's not like we even played badly. Anyway we've an 'easy' looking run on paper up until Christmas now, so here's hoping to get some much needed points on the board and try and salvage something of this waste of a season. The depressing thing is until the Yanks leave, we don't have the financial power to match the bottom clubs let alone the top clubs. It's a depressing thought. I know people are calling for Rafa to be sacked and can't see his way of thinking but he's been f***ed over masively by the owners. We can't buy anyone without selling. His interview the other day was really telling.
December 13, 200915 yr Fergie should team up with Louis Walsh and make a bloody rule book! And if you're team is not good enough to score in the 90 minutes anyway then you desrve nada!
December 15, 200915 yr Wolves make 10 changes to the side that beat Tottenham against Man Utd... With a home game against Bunley at the weekend and having lost Kightly, Edwards and Keogh to medium-long term injuries in the last week you can see where Mick McArthy is coming from. I'd laugh if they got a result...
December 15, 200915 yr Impressive Carlisle are still doing well. :cheer: Won 1-0 this weekend and 3-0 this evening in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Another win for Aston Villa this evening I notice. :cheer: Robert Green must be feeling low after this evening's howler.
December 15, 200915 yr Another win for Aston Villa this evening I notice. :cheer: Hooray. Fed up tbh. Just end the fucking season now.
December 15, 200915 yr Hooray! Can't complain about the result. Villa stuck their chances away, we didn't. Fair play. Can't see us picking up any more points up until we play Bolton at home on the 9th. We seriously need to strengthen in January, and Bruce needs to get his head sorted out and stop bringing off attacking players for defenders. Worrying times.
December 16, 200915 yr Author Hooray. Fed up tbh. Just end the fucking season now. I know how you feel. Can't wait for this PL seasdon to end. I just pray Chelsea win the title.
