November 14, 200915 yr Whooooop. Top 10 despite not being in the Best Of with anything. Do you remember/know that you have won XXI?
November 14, 200915 yr 77 and 55 (the hosts gave my 2 points to Bhangra instead of BaNG) like the songs of BJSC thread says, trust it, it never lies :D Fixed :D The confusing thing is that i FELL one place after gaining 100+ points in XXI  lol I know  Herzebania barely overtook you tough. You said I've gone down 9 places, when I've gone up 9 places   YAY @ being top twenty :D Omg I'm so sorry  I don't know what I was thinking! But fixed now, and congratz :D
November 14, 200915 yr there's only one contest left and Aaron never fails to qualify, so you need something that will beat him by over 70 points :o
November 14, 200915 yr there's only one contest left and Aaron never fails to qualify, so you need something that will beat him by over 70 points :o Not IMPOSSIBLE, but I reckon I could manage it. I just need him to choose something uninspired and for me to finish top three :funky:
November 14, 200915 yr Not IMPOSSIBLE, but I reckon I could manage it. I just need him to choose something uninspired and for me to finish top three :funky: surely you mean you need him to choose something inspired :kink: remember, September/Guetta came top 5, whilst the likes of M$ney and Tegan & Sara flopped :drama: if even Dollface couldn't win it for you then no non-release schedule song can :snif:
November 15, 200915 yr there's only one contest left and Aaron never fails to qualify, so you need something that will beat him by over 70 points :o I think that's bound to be it for me this month, haven't really been thinking about BJSC and have no idea what to send. I heard part of an intro of a song I thought was my next entry, but it features a rapper (:() and has a slightly underwhelming chorus. (:() Plus it'd do better if the average participant was in their early teens. So basically, I have nothing.

November 15, 200915 yr I wasn't thinking of La Roux, moreso all of the recent winners bar Kesha (who wasn't on the release schedule at the time) and the two relative unknown winners from yours truly :kink:
November 15, 200915 yr It's true, the BJSC does seem to have a bit of a fetish for vaguely cheap release schedule winners these days which have huge BJ hype but then end up flopping :( BWBB, The Spell, Eva Simons, Shark In The Water, The Girl and the Robot... Indeed, it's ironic, the ones that haven't been release scheduled in the last year have been the ones that ended up doing the best chart-wise! Release Me, Boys & Girls, TiK ToK...with the exception of the truly unknown from you and the oddly released Quicksand

November 15, 200915 yr Oh god, it says so much about how much our opinions have changed on XI that I forgot Boys & Girls hadn't won! It did come first in the XI nominations by miles however, hence my mistake... I think The Show comes under much the same category? Although it did have quite a bit of hype around it IIRC?
November 15, 200915 yr it came first in the XI nominations yet only THREE people voted for it in the Best Of semis voting :drama: did everyone go off it suddenly
November 15, 200915 yr It's very interesting because some number of former releases got through, like Rabbit Heart for example.
November 15, 200915 yr maybe people liked the new radio mix so much that the demo suddenly seemed like the worst thing ever
November 15, 200915 yr it came first in the XI nominations yet only THREE people voted for it in the Best Of semis voting :drama: did everyone go off it suddenly  I think the reason it did so well at the nominations stage was because people couldn't be bothered to go back at listen to XI so just voted for what they knew the majority of the time...when it came to comparing it to songs they knew however, and songs that weren't cheap that might have had a lack of appreciation at the time, it stood no chance :( Especially with 31 in each semi!
November 15, 200915 yr that sounds like a logical explanation I was gutted to see it come so low though, I almost wish it hadn't been released so it could have retained its status as 'BJSC classic' because it really was so far ahead of its release
November 15, 200915 yr Well, it was a BJSC classic, but it suffered a little from being in the strongest semi-final ever composed :P
