Hmm...true, I do prefer "Punching Out" to "Already Gone" though. I kinda hope no one sends it next month now, it might feel a bit old by then. I expect it would have been perfect for this month, but would suffer slightly next time.

Possibly, I just can't see sending the equivalent of "Bleeding Love" going down down a treat, though it is essentially the perfect BJSC song. It's got Pop, Urban and European appeal, only the Indie vote missing.

I haven't heard the Pixie song, but I actually don't mind the NF songs this month. I could see myself giving them something in the semis, depending on the quality. I'm glad you picked "Jungle Drum", one of your three entries that I gave points. It was only three (your second highest amount!) but it was also in one of the best contests I've been in. (I swear I host the best contests :smoke:)

I may finally give you points again (plural you will note), as long as I don't suddenly get bored of One Love or unless I find a huge amount of great new discoveries in this contest

VII and XV are definitely the best contests, I was shocked at the time that Jungle Drum did so well, but looking back, now it's exploded around Europe, maybe it was inevitable  I had no idea it would become such a hit everywhere (apart from in the UK)!

I can't wait for this contest to start :)

Also does anybody know how to send a PM to more than 1 person at a time? to CC it

I don't think I've ever had particularly inspired entries. If anything Tegan & Sara and M$ney were my most inspired entries and they were some of my more recent ones. Apart from that I'd only called Beverley, Video Villain and A.R. Rahman/M.I.A. were proper 'inspired' choices. Is it really a shock that I'm sending two artists I've sent before?

No because RedOne doesn't release albums, but I don't see it as being much different to RedOne releasing an album with the likes of those, "Just Dance", "Remedy", "Fire Burning", "Here We Go Again" etc. on. I've never seen the difference between a song produced by an artist (without credit) and that producer making an album he doesn't sing on. I never credited Christian Falk when confirming "Dream On". :heehee:

then why not try and be more creative...I can guarantee that u felt better when u Q/finish decent with Beverley/Tegan/MIA/VV rather than with September for example.

I've never said why you are sending a same artists twice, did I  but I just wanna read you typing 'Hey guys I'm sending Guetta song from his HOT album which is in store right now and is about to debut at #2 this week and keep my record of Q because I'm scared that I might DNQ' :P

Haha, I hope so, though you usually end up with about 15 songs rated 9/10 or over. :heehee: I hope to at least beat Estelle's last showing with this.

Ah, so it's not just a coincidence that I think the two I hosted were soe of the best. "Jungle Drum" was such a cute little track, I'm surprised it never took off here. :o

 interesting way to put it, maybe it is quite a cheap entry thinking about the evidence you've presented...the name David Guetta still doesn't register with 'huge star' in my mind despite his two No.1 singles (including the current No.1), BEP's No.1 and a No.2 album  I guess it's because he's a male dance artist and not a female pop singer

I really really don't understand this fear of DNQ'ing, it doesn't mean that your music tastes are suddenly inferior just because only a few other people liked your song, I don't see anyone else at all rushing to chart the Sharon Corr single like me (#4 peak so far :funky:), but it doesn't make it any worse a song just because I'm the only one that likes it ...my entry history would be beyond bland if the first thing at the forefront of my mind was 'it MUST qualify'...I guess it becomes easier to understand once you've DNQ'd (twice :snif:)

it's more like 9 or 10 usually :heehee: I'm not just being over generous I can assure you, I entered a similar competition on CHC last week which had 17 songs, and only one of them scored above 8.5/10, everything else ranged between mediocre and appalling, I gave points to 5 songs I didn't even like  it just seems that many BJSC participants send songs completely to my tastes

I reckon Jungle Drum will get a proper re-release here at some point and take off, they'd be mad not to promote it...I never once saw it on the TV or heard it on the radio when it came out here so it must have been a very very low key release

you have to be a mod.

Darn it, I'll have to send the reminders individually.

ok maybe I exaggerated a little bit...and lol at being no-cheap despite having 3 #1's and #2 album

EDIT: still Aaron sent something that I didn't want to see being entered in this contest...for me is on par with A.Burke and Jade.

Edited by Addy!

reminders for what?

Cover Voting Thread. Mikey is having two weeks off so me and Theo are taking the rains for both weeks.

I suppose it's because he's a producer and not a singer it doesn't feel *quite* as cheap, especially with the love/hate Estelle on vocals, and it would seem a lot cheaper if not for some of the other confirmed songs in this contest, naming no names :kink:

Ah i see.

Yeah, I'm fine with Kath AQing and 14 qualifiers from 26 in each semi BTW...last month only posed a problem because we had a choice between 2 or 3 AQs, as opposed to one between 1 or 2.
NO WAY. Animal is Kat's best song after Whine Up and Unstoppable IMO, so if the very average Am I Dreaming could go top 10 in a previous contest I don't see why Animal won't. She's huge with the R&B bloc, and me and Brokeback Mountain should also give you quite high points, Kat might be a flop mainstream artist but on Buzzjack anything but. :o

Oh, and Am I Dreaming didn't go top ten in the end Kath :P

I think we need to '>' cheapness between BJSC XIV and XX :kink:

XX>>>>>XIV

Edited by Addy!

For the record I totally refer not sending The Bird And The Bee already :snif:

Remember my prediction people! :funky: Every six months...I knew XX would be cheap*!

*Relatively.
