No word on the UK release yet but it should be around the same time. Will feature songs from Radiohead, Muse and Band of Skulls. Also there have been rumours that Kelly Clarkson may have recorded a song for the album.

This might be better than the previous soundtrack, even though I disliked the Twilight film. :P

Edited by FM11

The previous soundtrack was amazing, there wasnt a song on there that i didnt like. Even RPattz songs were good :o

Anyway if Kelly makes the soundtrack with Empty As I Am, i will be ecstatic. She plugs the films/books anyway so they should know she would be good promo for it

The RPattz songs sucked and that's coming from me lol.

I know she's not 'indie' but Kelly C would be a great addition to the soundtrack. I already attribute 'Already Gone' to the book :P

I look forward to this anyway as the first soundtrack was fantastic!

One song i was really fond of, the other not too much but i didnt expect to like RPattz as a MUSICIAN.

Oh he is a good singer but the songs were so bland! Just my take. He sounded so different to what I expected anyway.

I loved the Twilight soundtrack, I still listen to it all the time. I love soundtracks that have new songs especially written for the movie.
i like the twilight soundtracks...i will look forward for the new moon soundtrack..hopefully its good too.:D

Radiohead and Muse?! :o

I was expecting to come in here and have to move the topic to another forum, but I'm proved wrong!

Sounds pretty good. Just a shame the films (well at least the first 15 minutes of the first one, as that's when I turned it off) are dire.

No Paramore this time round :heehee:

I know :( but at least they have a new album coming out to make up for it.

Atlantic Records have confirmed the first single from the "Twilight Saga: New Moon" original soundtrack will performed by Death Cab For Cutie, the song is called "Meet Me On The Equinox"

The song will premiere on the MTV Video Music Awards on September 13th. Does that mean they will be performing the single at the MTV Video Music Awards this year?

The soundtrack will be released in October.

Death Cab for Cutie  I can't wait to hear it, will be a top 20 smash in the US I reckon. I like the album cover but I personally prefer the Twilight soundtrack cover.
I can't believe Death Cab for Cutie will be fronting the Twilight soundtrack and Thom Yorke?!! What's going on?! Yeah it's great exposure but it just seems WRONG. Twilight franchise is soo bad, they're not even great books it's just a freaking love story that drags til the fourth and final book!

They probably realized that huge ammounts of people would come to see this film no matter what the soundtrack consisted of, so they're trying to reel in all the hip indie kids with the likes of Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Thom Yorke, Death Cab, and Grizzly Bear.

I have to admit; it has me intrigued LOLZ. Though I'd see it anyway for fun. They're horrible but bad enough to be entertaining. Plus that Taylor Lautner guy has a nice bod.

I have no intention of seeing the film at all but the soundtrack is a different matter.

I love Meet Me On The Equinox and can't wait to hear the rest of the soundtrack.

it feels like I would love this soundtrack if and only if it wasn't attached to the twilight franchise! I love Alexandra Patsavas she's sooo talented in introducing good music to the world but still... she's the musical supervisor behind tv shows such as: OC, Gossip Girl, Chuck, and Grey's Anatomy. If you watch those shows they have GOOD music and same goes for this soundtrack except it's Twilight and it's really a shame even though it'll be a great exposure for them :/

Tracklisting:

01. "Meet Me on the Equinox" (Death Cab for Cutie)

02. "Friends" (Band of Skulls)

03. "Hearing Damage" (Thom Yorke)

04. "Possibility" (Lykke Li)

05. "A White Demon Love Song" (The Killers)

06. "Satellite Heart" (Anya Marina)

07. "I Belong to You" [New Moon Remix] (Muse)

08. "Rosyln" (Bon Iver and St. Vincent)

09. "Done All Wrong" (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club)

10. "Monsters" (Hurricane Bells)

11. "The Violet Hour" (Sea Wolf)

12. "Shooting the Moon" (OK Go)

13. "Slow Life" (Grizzly Bear featuring Victoria Legrand of Beach House[32])

14. "No Sound But the Wind" (Editors)

15. "New Moon (The Meadow)" (Alexandre Desplat)[33]

WAY too good for what is bound to be an absolutely $h!te film.

They can all be found on youtube now...I'll post some videos later on if people want them (and can't be bothered to find them themselves :heehee:)
