Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights around the city. An early collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with her ode to lost, drunken nights, "Just Dance." The song went on to top the charts in several other countries, helping GaGa to develop an international following. The vocalist made headlines at the 2009 Brit Awards when she, along with Brandon Flowers of the Killers, performed with the Pet Shop Boys on a medley of the synth-pop duo's hits, including the classic "West End Girls." - HMV

Oh my, it looks like this may not break the consecutive top 40 weeks record. Looks like Frankie Goes To Hollywood is safe from another competitor.

As for the song, it's old now. Not unlistenably old, but old.

Poker Face will probably be out next week :'(

Well no one can say it hasn't had a good run

Poker Face has done extremely well since it entered the chart. It was in the top 10 weeks before the actual release of the song. Re-climbed after the Fest-effect and probably re-climbed a wee bit with Now 73. It'll be out next week, but LoveGame should fill that hole

Yeah that is true, plus is is getting pretty old.

But I still LOVEEEE iT :(

'Poker Face' is one of those songs that just doesn't ever get old. Still adore it.

Discussion Thread Here

Number 1 on the other hand, is boring :(

It's only managed to hang on because of the album effect, hopefully it will be out next week.

More album effect, Number 1 back up. This has had an amazing chart run. But it'll be either out or about #40 next week...

In fact it was number 1 on downloads alone.

Number 1 is getting a bit boring now. I saw Tinchy perform it at V (on the TV) and they kept dropping the sound every 2 seconds for the audience sing. Which was fine at first, but throughout the whole song was annoying
