Jesus Christ! A dire chart and more reason to feel glad I wasn't in the country at the time.

I like these two

23 Apollo Four Forty - Stop The Rock

39 Madonna - Beautiful Stranger

Aint Talkin About Dub is my fave Apollo 440 track, they borrowed a guitar riff from Van Halen, its ace!

Judas Priest! I really must have had a black-out during the 90's music-wise (I had a job I liked and I was more into film in that decade I suppose) but of those 40 songs I actually only know five of them. Mind you ... the five that I know are all sh/te!

mine too :)

When the best songs in the chart are by Apollo 440 and Basement Jaxx (and I wouldn't care to hear either more than once) then there's definitely something wrong. I'd truly forgotten how bad chart music was around this time...about as bad as now actually!
Absolutely nothing I would listen to in that chart, in fact I only recognise 2 or 3.

1999's only saving grace was 'beefa! Like Rob has said, the better dance tracks are usually placed in the lower reaches of the chart, notably Ayla and Agnelli And Nelson.
