September 4, 200915 yr Leona doesn't have the personality of a "paint drying wall", she's quiet, shy and reserved. Just because she's not ugly as hell, so it was a complete shock that she can sing, or a tart who shaves her head, doesn't mean that she has a poor personality. I have to agree. When I first saw her win the X-Factor ... I was a bit 'she has the personality of a frying-pan', etc, etc. But I actually feel ashamed of myself now for thinking that. She is painfully shy and has remained so. I still really don't like that style of singing (having said that ... apart from the end where I can't telll what she's saying ... I love her version of Run) but I do now like her. I like her principles ... her stand on fur, etc. And the fact that she bought a bunny rabbit for $100 to save it being eaten tickled me! In the album wars ... I hope Leona wins. If Rob's album is as average as Bodies ... then she should do it by a country mile! I think he releases the week before so I'm sure he'll get one week ... but after that ... I hope she pastes him. No comment on Susan Boyle ... for me she's a 'one song pony'. Norma

Considering Leona Lewis went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and from there she attended the Italia Conti Academy (Where Simon Cowell's special friend Sinitta first noticed her where she taught frequent seminars ;) ) and the BRIT School; how was it a surprise that she could sing? ^_^ It was a known industry fact that Leona Lewis had touted demos to a few major music labels all of which were impressed by her superb voice; but did not sign her because they felt she did not have the eXtra personality needed to be warmed to by the record buying public to make them go out and buy her records.
September 4, 200915 yr What? I don't think you understood what I said. It was Susan Boyle that is ugly, and it was a surprise that she could sing. If she wasn't as ugly as she was, or badly dressed etc... she would not be as big as this. She has a good voice, but she's gotten this far on her bad looks. It was a known industry fact that Leona Lewis had touted demos to a few major music labels all of which were impressed by her superb voice; but did not sign her because they felt she did not have the eXtra personality needed to be warmed to by the record buying public to make them go out and buy her records. And yet the buying public buy all her music, and give her hit after hit...

A stunning track, fantastic production. Sounds like something from Depeche Mode's Violator album with some hilarious one liners. Shame about the usual hammy voice. But then again I always preferred a Gary Barlow vocal on Take That records. Such a shame that Bodies will be stuck behind that mediocre at best Basshunter does Eurovision sounding track by Alexandra Burke.
September 4, 200915 yr 'Bodies' is physically horrific. I thought he'd do something better than that.

But Rich we're finding out now that contestants do have previous 'form' for want of a better word. The bloke who was on X-Factor a couple of weeks ago (Danyl?) has actually been on two released albums and performed on a theatrical show (it may have been West End ... I don't know). For all we know ... its been going on for ages. And as far as Leona is concerned ... maybe the record labels didn't feel she had the 'X'tra factor ... but the public did ... else ... would she have won the show? I think Leona has proven that she does deserve the success she is having. A year or so ago ... I wouldn't believe I'd be saying this now!!!! Having said that ... I can't forgive her for Bleeding Love beating RTW to number !! :arrr: Norma
September 4, 200915 yr f***. Susan "i only have a career coz i have a face like a smacked arse" Boyle, Leona "i was born without a personality" Lewis and Robbie "i have no talent so i'm off to chase ufo's in LA for a bit to get people to buy my next $h!te record after everyone cottoned on to the fact i'm $h!te with Rudebox" Williams are going to keep the Babes outta the top3 and based on Get Sexy, Thank You For The Heartbreak and About A Girl it's going to be a f***ing amazing album. i hate talent shows. The ONLY decent thing to have come out of them is Kelly Clarkson.
September 4, 200915 yr Leona Lewis is very talented and has a great personality. I sure as hell like it more than I like yours you jackass.

September 4, 200915 yr That is the same PopJustice that described Alexandra Burke's not bad but hardly "Womanizer meets Biology" new single is it? No, this is the same PopJustice that described the intro to Alexandra's song as being like the intros to Womanizer meets Biology! :cheer: As an aside, there were some American ladies on Scottish news earlier. They were filmed visiting Susan's home-town and described it as a pilgramage. They were also being filmed by a Japanese tv crew.
September 4, 200915 yr Leona Lewis is very talented and has a great personality. I sure as hell like it more than I like yours you jackass. A Leona loon yeah? You're hardly going to say she has the personality of cardboard. And for the record i never said owt about her 'talent'. Her style of singing repulses me, i hate MC equally as much. BUT that having been said Better In Time is lush. She still has no personality and yes, i've seen her on TV. And so what if i have a firey personality. Yours is hardly any better. First post i've seen by you and your callin me a Jackass  What about Jim Davidson?   Normalate 90's tv ftw
September 4, 200915 yr How can anybody say anyone has no personality is beyond me. I have a friend like Leona (but he's a man and can't sing) in that he was very shy and didn't show much of himself, but when I got to know him he was hillariously funny and is now my best mate. Which is what I imagine Leona to be like. I have to agree though that Better In Time is pure genius.
September 4, 200915 yr Personally I don't think Leona is shy or quiet, yeah maybe she was at the start of the XF shows but now she's not. She's had to become more confident and I think it really shows.
September 4, 200915 yr Nope, not a Leona loon, I just don't think she should be slagged off when there's nothing wrong with her, and she hasn't done anything to deserve it...that's all. She's just quiet and reserved, it doesn't mean she doesn't have a personality. If you said she doesn't have a big personality then I would've agreed, but currently your statement is incorrect. I didn't say you said anything about her talent...I was just pointing out her talent, which I think should be focused more on rather than her personality. And we clearly have different music tastes, as I love her style of music. I wouldn't call it fiery, I call it rude. All you've done is slag everyone off, very rudely.

Seeing as we're on a correction kick, let me return the favour. I slagged off 3 people. 3 people is not everyone. In that same post i complimented the Sugababes. The post after i complimented Better In Time for being amazing. And you have two posts to judge me on, hardly enough for you to make a valid opinion on me.

Such a shame that Bodies will be stuck behind that mediocre at best Basshunter does Eurovision sounding track by Alexandra Burke. Hmmm! I must have been listening to a different Bodies then. My feeling of disappointment when I first heard TT's Greatest Day was only matched today by my feeling of relief that Rob's song was just ordinary. I know the media will lap it up ... but I'm satisfied that it is nothing more than that ... ordinary. I agree about the Alexandra song ... but really ... in its way, Bodies is just the same! Average! And Rob's lyrics ... someone ought to tell him he ain't that clever at them anymore. One thing that lacks in Take That songs - is lyrics ... and it is always where I've felt Rob had the advantage over them. When you can by-pass the dreadful self-pity in some of them ... I can understand his fans lapping them up ... although they're not to my taste ... sometimes I'll admit to their cleverness. But the lyrics to Bodies ... just plain infantile. And his voice is, as you say, just plain hammy and karaokeish! Norma
September 4, 200915 yr I'm not saying you're horrible and rude all the time, but from that post, your personality screamed "jackass". I'm sure you're not, it's just that's how I felt lol.

September 4, 200915 yr LOL, ok...you don't seem bad either :D I'm just quite protective over Leona :P
