So will it be his 7th #1 single in the UK?

I am not really sure. Although the responces all around have been very good, I am not really sure if it will be massive. It is commerical and radio friendly but not overly so. And Alexandra from the X Factor is releasing her song the same week, which is classic EMI planning. If he released it the week before (6 weeks is way too far away anyway), than it could go #1, but otherwise I think it will go to #2, although it might go to Rob's usual chart position fo 4

Not sure it will be number 1......but most of my favourite Robbie songs never got to number 1 so no worries

Exactly. Some of my least fave tracks go to #1 such as Radio and Something Stupid. His best songs generally go to #4 such as Angels, Feel, No Regrets, Come Undone, Supreme etc etc :smoke:

I dunno he's been out of it for a while so I can't really predict how well he'll do in the charts

Of course I'd love it to go #1 but I voted top 5

I think it'll get to #2, behind Alexandra.

Even though he often does fall short of the #1, this comeback is highly anticipated, so if it wasn't for X Factor I think it would reach #1.

Top 5 ^_^

What does the X Factor person's song sound like? Not that that's ever really mattered I suppose

Want it go to No 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wont settle for less ;) :cheer:  :w00t: :yahoo:

I'm guessing maybe top 5.....then again, me not familiar with all this chart stuff, I'm severely underqualified to say, really....

I'd guess top 5 at least if only for the hype. Having said that ... there really isn't much competition around so he may just make number 1. That is of course, the Alexandra hype doesn't get a head of steam. Although I must admit ... as much as I dislike Rob ... his song is marginally more acceptable than hers!

Actually ... as I've been told to p*** off from the Rob forum for daring to review the song .... I shall go! With glee!

The song is fantastic, I could see it going to #1. Robbie already has an established built fanbase that will buy this, Alexandra doesn't have one, and plus, the song is crap.

And Norma, without wanting to be rude,

It's pretty ironic how you dislike Robbie yet the only reason Take That are so successful this minute is because they're releasing the same sound of music Robbie made [1996-2003]. And to be honest, that imo, Take That are to bland and boring to release anything as adventurous or great as 'Rudebox'.

It must be number one!!! :naughty:

So in your opinion then, everything Rob did between 1996 and 2003 was bland and boring. I think that's a fair analogy to make. A lot of people seemed to like that bland and boring music from Rob just as a lot of people seem to like the bland and boring stuff Take That are doing now. And if we're talking safe/bland/boring .... what do you call Rob's god-awful Swing era? Hardly re-inventing the wheel was he? Back to 'Bodies' it is just plain average ... surely there are some Rob fans here who can see that. For the one who, in his own words, 'was always the talented one' surely more could have been expected than this dated and turgid dirge.

But Josh, the main reason I dislike Rob is that he's an unfunny d*ckhead! Pure and simple.

I think if released now would go to number one - but by time i actually released many will have downoaded from some other source

I went for top 5, although I do really like Bodies

#1 This is such a highly anticipated comeback and its a fantastic Anthemic song! IMO it's much better than Alexandra's song and I reckon he has 1 in the bag

It will debut at #1 because RW is the most successful british solo artist of the decade and he's been away for 3 years.. the anticipation for this song and album are beyond imagination.

The Rudebox era wasn't as successful as the previous ones because the market wasn't hungry for new material hence intensive care was just released 1 year ago.

Not that everything he done was bland and boring, the formula that Take That have used from Robbie is bland and boring. :P

Assuming it sticks to its planned release date #4.

I think his fanbase has got older and have become an album buying audience.

Unfortunately, you have to be deluded to think Alexandra Burke mediocre at best chavvy Eurovision type single wont outsell this, thanks to the power of the X-Factor and the brain dead zombies whom are pre-programmed to buy whatever turd is featured on that show, just look at Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire this week.

I also expect one or two other releases to get a buzz about them (like Mr Hudson – White Lies; The Saturdays - Forever Is Over or Eva Simons – Silly Boy) and outsell the Robster too.

Ideally #1, but the Alexandra crap and the X Factor $h!te that will go with it... its going to stall it at #2. I just hope Robbie has the decency to release it a week early, if the track is out a week early on downloads, he has potential to spend a week at #1, before the $h!t hits the fan.
