Dammit :( You're more techie than I am, so you'll get it. It's OK. I might take a break from the contest though, I have no idea what to send next month, and I keep doing mediocre-at-best-lately, I feel like I'm doing the name Numayania a disservice...

I think it's just the way the contest's evolving - I've gone from having strings of top 3's to low top tens but I don't plan to switch to indie-pop to try and reverse the trend unless I absolutely love a song of that genre enough to warrant doing so. I don't think you're doing at all badly - it's just that the people who used to vote for your (and most of my) entries have left the contest  I wouldn't be too hasty though, it would leave a big hole if you weren't here in my opinion.

Drama queen :P

Come chat when you've have 4 DNQ's on the bounce :smoke:

It has been said tbh Phil :P Weren't you terrified of DNQing until you got your first one though? In a way it would be a turning point for me...

Yes I guess you're right, the problem is I like that kind of thing, I'm likely to vote for at least 3 songs that are indie or at least "trendy". Hurts did very well for me last time, and I'm tempted to send Better Than Love next contest if it isn't banned - frankly I'm amazed no-one picked it up once I dropped them last time  I guess it would be a bit much to go out next time, but I either want to win or DNQ

Me neither :o :heehee:
I've (strangely) only been having 3 sets of 2 DNQs in a row. 4 in a row must be horrible :(

DNQ'ing wasn't such a big deal when me and Phil both achieved ours simultaneously in X so it wasn't really a worry, for me at least. It's not something I'm particularly bothered about - although my music tastes usually fit with BJSC, every now and then I'll like a song that I presume barely anyone else will like but risk sending it anyway just in case somebody does :w00t: Still not heard Better Than Love to be honest...if you are planning on sending them I'll delay hearing it too so it doesn't get too boring :heehee:

Oh well, fair enough. So there wasn't a stigma about it? Remember when you nearly sent that Finnish song? That was guaranteed DNQ, even though it was awesome  Better Than Love is amazing (jumps into my top 20 on my new chart to be published later) but I have other ideas too, like Alizee and the one you were after :kink:

God, I've had so many 'were nearly' entries which I changed at the last minute. I'm pretty sure I swapped something for Robots In Love at the last minute too - good swap! I think I swapped that for Kongulo - I had to because I LOVED it  Not heard Alizee's now song yet either. I figure someone will eventually send it to BJSC so I'm in no rush to hear it :heehee:

That's true, me too  I'm kind of wishing I sent Sukkerchok not Dandy Andy now, though that did OK for me and I love(d) the song (they don't seem to be bothered about releasing it tho...) Kongulo was great so I don't blame you at all  Yeah I'm pretty sure "someone" will...

Oh I loved My Lonely Valentine though, great discovery  Sukkerchok's song was another one that wore off on me after a few days so I honestly don't think I'd have given it any points, maybe 1. But didn't I give Dandy Andy 10 points in the end? :o

Kongulo was my summer holiday anthem last year, along with Remedy and Celebration

Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic song  Yes I think you did, thanks  It was a case of big points or nothing for that though, which doesn't really work, I need to find something that will just mop up points left right and centre, Hurts may just be the one. I think they'll be making a reappearance tonight either way :kink:

Awesome, you must have had a great summer :D

Kongulo was my biggest example of that, loads of 10's, a couple of 1's and bugger all else  In what way will Hurts be making a reappearance tonight? :o

well yeah it was nice, looking forward to this summer more though to be honest, even if I will be busy!

Yeah, I think I gave it 10? It was definitely in my top 3. It'll be blink-and-you-miss-it, but look out for my votes :kink:

Cool, what plans have you got? I haven't got anything going on right now, probably apart from work...

I thought you gave it 1, down from 10 in the semi  or am I remembering wrong? I'll keep my eyes peeled then, I can't remember who's presenting my votes this evening but they're not as long winded as usual, I doubt anyone ever reads all the blurb anyway

I've applied for a journalism course in Wrexham, North Wales (near Chester) - going up for an interview in 3 weeks time and if I get a place/pass the entry exam then I'll be moving in the summer I guess! I don't fancy a 10 hour return commute every day :heehee:

I don't think the reduction was THAT big, maybe it was 3? I remember that being a very strong final though. Hendinia got my 12, I gave nothing to Dollhouse, obviously I was second so I didn't give myself anything  And I gave maybe 6 or 7 to Silly Boy... Kath has been conspicuous by her absence lately :kink: I suppose no-one reads the blurb, but I like writing it anyway, though I usually stick a summary at the bottom for the host

Oh wow, best of luck with that, will keep my fingers x'ed :D

I can't remember  It was a great final though very very poppy, my 12 went to Espen - A Bar In Amsterdam is amazing  Yeah Kath's left a hole in the contest - I liked the South African discoveries, nobody else sends anything from that country - probably because it's notoriously hard to find on Google/Youtube :drama:

Thanks, hope it all slots into place over the next few months!

I have just heard Caro while I was driving...it was on the biggest radio station in town...maybe a good sign :kink:
Is it good that i actually saw the banner just above this box on this very page about Eurovision with a Safura's picture? :kink: And this is not even a Eurovision forum!
