Agreed - the Germans love their quirky girls - Emiliana/Aura/Lena/Marit etc... all have had #1's - I honestly think all could have been UK top ten hits too given half a chance :(

No but I shall head that way now! Oh really, excellent :lol: I don't usually care for the albums of my BJSC entrants but I've become quite interested in Caro - I really think she has some potential for international success.

BJSC26 statement from RTVN

 

The Rontvian TV Network (RTVN) are said to be ecstatic at Caro Emerald's 12th place with bottom ten having been predicted for the Dutch singer prior to the final taking place. Indeed, Example's Watch The Sun Come Up is the only Rontvian entry to fail to reach the top 15 (i.e. - be a 'hit'), since Vincent DNQ'd thirteen contests ago. Caro said 'I'm very proud to do well, and congratulations to Hendinia, they really sent a great song'. Four of the top five of the Rontvian public votes reached the top five in the final, the most in tune the nation has been with the contest ever. Already looking ahead to BJSC26 in Hendinia, the RTVN have announced the following. We have a few songs in contention already. Codename 'Sheila' has been bandied about whilst the latest hopeful is StarShell with 'SuperLuva', many thanks to Popjustice for the tip off there :kink:

It depends on if we go with a MF style contest, or just nick Andre Chansen. Hopefully the contest will be done by the end of the 3rd week of May. It just depends. AC would push us to a 5wk contest

It's got so bloated these days. I remember when we had no artist reservation or semis. Just song confirmation and a final, which took 2 weeks max haha! 5 weeks seems a bit too long to be honest, I think other stages would have to be shortened to accomodate for the extra addition, i.e. reduce artist and song confirmation to 4/5 days each, and the banlist doesn't need to be open more than 2 or 3 days.

If i was hosting a contest it'd be 2days banlist, 5days Confirmation, 5-6days semi's, 3days AC, week Final
