It was added later than the others and basically caused iTunes to crash.

Not sure why they aren't top 100 this update, but I'm pretty sure they aren't flopping.

The reason I reckon it was mainly Muse that caused it was that when I woke up and checked my feed, Pixie (single), Mika and Mini Viva were all locked onto their place which they had held for many hours (as normally happens every Sunday with the new releases) yet Muse were not even top 300. Then I read that they had been added late and they were just outside the top 300. So I think while Mika, Pixie and Viva followed the normal pattern of debuting high and then holding, Muse was added later and immediately debuted outside the top 300 and then froze. Kinda hard to describe what I mean so this post probably doesn't make sense :lol:

Every Sunday in the early hours of the morning the chart freezes/lags until the afternoon. It's a pattern at iTunes - nothing to do with Muse :lol:

Nope, iTunes has gone and frozen again - this is one of the busiest weeks we'll see for a long time with Mika, Mini Viva and Muse all releasing as well as Pixie's single version, so iTunes probably can't handle all of it. Since iTunes hasn't updated since I posted, nothing has changed...

 

And to be fair, Bey has been iTunes top ten for nearly 8 weeks and top ten officially for six weeks (most likely seven today), so it's about time she freed up a space. She is still #10 but is #11 when Pixie's two versions are combined. Bey has a real thing about hogging the top ten - this year alone she has been top ten with four songs for a combined total of 23 weeks! Not to mention that those four songs are all from the same album, released last year. And it's not as if they even peaked that high within the top ten - two #4s, a #5 and a #7.

As a comparison, Lady GaGa has had three songs in the top ten from one album released this year, spending a combined 31 weeks top ten, with two #1s and a #4.

 

But Beyonce's a Godess so everything's fine :P I think she's had a good string of top tens (which is rare in 2009) thanks to the quality and good selections of her singles. Btw she has only had one #4 - Halo. I'm only annoyed that Sweet Dreams has fallen out because i think it/she deserved a better peak and because there is a lot of crap above her on the chart (imo of course).

 

But she has done spectacular. After all, it is her 4th single.

Muse should storm iTunes later in the week, there is a Muse night tomorrow on Radio 1, I can see them doing far better than any of the other new releases this week.
