Ashton confirms Untouched for XXII

The ASC has confirmed to the Ashtonise public and press that the federal republic will be represented by Liverpool electropop duo Untouched. The former FSR Rontvia entrant will be performing Feed Me To The Boys for Ashton in Lorikeet as Ashton strengthens it's reputation for sending the best of TrashyElectroFemPop

Tina's Hungry Already!

After only one day of touring Tina Parol, the Kingdom of Shadow's entry into BJSC XXII, insisted the tour come to Ashton after she heard 'Feed Me To The Boys', the Republic's lastest entry by Untouched. Whilst looking for something to 'fill her up', Tina did find the time to show her appreciation for what are tentatively calling Untouched's second entry into the BJSC (?); 'I think it's really cool that we have some attitude in this contest... Have you seen any sausages yet?'. Untouched are probably more famous for being huge in Ashton than they are for being sent by Rontvia and if the Shadowan reaction to 'Feed Me To The Boys' is anything to go by then they could have another great result under their belts by Xmas!

Whilst in the vast nation, Parol also foudn time to perform her entry 'Who's Got Your Money?'.

Has the ASC rediscovered it?

posted by || Quin Entiet 05/12/09 - 14:24 SST [[sanvoria Standard Time]]

With rumours coming from Ashton House that the ASC is set to go live for it's next two entries we pose the question, has the ASC rediscovered it?

Earlier today our source at the ASC told us that they had just signed off on two back to back live entries, he said that the two entries would really help nail home the fact that the ASC were back.

Since the introduction of Risks FTW the ASC has been slowly losing the plot by over estimating its entries and failing to deliver the winner it promised. Arriving in XII with the return of Red Blooded Women the ASC claimed it would be a continuation of the Ashtonise heyday with more inspiring artists and songs. You Made Your Bed narrowly beat Rasputin. Alone failed to live up to the ASC's projections of top5. Back To The Start was hastily confirmed and seemed to ignore the Risks FTW strategy as the ASC shot themselves in the foot by joining the ACM with a song considered by most to be cheap, it later limped home feeling sorry for itself outside the top15 for the 3rd contest in a row. Haffi made it 4 as the song plumited from 3rd in the semi to 23rd giving Ashton a new lowest ever finish. The Ashton BJSC contract was removed from the AMC and the SNA assumed control and subsequently sacked 85% of the ASC. It's taken a while but the ASC seems to be back.

Alex Roots and Ashton's first NF brought a well deserved top5 to the nation, although Nevio/Cilmi, Delta, IN2U and WMYH have all performed poorly the standard of entry has seen a monumental rise. After Alone's shocking failure the ASC appeared to lack motivation. Arguably WMYH can be excluded from results as it was a tribute. Since the SNA took over Ashton has enjoyed two top 5's [Alex and Tone] along with it's first ever TBO final qualifier. In a show far better run than the year before when the AMC handled the affair.

Current odds suggest that the ASC could be back for good as Feed Me To The Boys has earned itself a name as one of favourites.

XXIII and XXIV can only hold good things as the SNA controlled ASC aim to recapture the essence that saw the Sugababes take 4th in V for Ashton.

Live Duo for Ashton

Written by Dave Granh

The ASC has today announced that it has provisionally signed off on back to back live entries for Ashton. It is expected that the back to back duo will consist of the Sugababes and Delta Goodrem. Our source at the ASC says that the Delta track is a heavily guarded secret

DNQ number 3

The ASC are reportedly furious after their DNQ in Lorikeet. The Federal Republic has banished foreign press from the country.

The Ashtonise press have had no official comment from the ASC or from the President. Outside Ashton house furious protesters are calling for Ashton to withdraw from the contest with immediate effect. Lorikeet's embassy has been evacuated as a precautionary measure after Torchwood's was burnt to the ground following Nevio and Cilmi's DNQ in BJSCXVI.

The Government of the Federal Republic has banned all promo tours from entering the country and the GRA has pushed through a law that allows those embarking on a promo tour to be punishable by death.

Our source at Ashton House says that the reactions and the atmosphere is far worse than last time. The only thing the president is reported to have said since the SF Results ended is "Fuck You All"

It's set to be a bad week for Ashton. The GRA are advising tourists to avoid the capital, Morpeth Cove, if they can.

RTVN would like to offer their condolences to Ashton and are deeply saddened that one of our favourite artists and countries have failed to qualify for the final with a great song that marked yet another Ashtonise entry in the Rontvian chart this week, a chart so hard to crack that Smack Me only got to #17 in it!!! We hope that Ashton will come back bigger and better, with a winner, in XXIII and show everyone how its done.

If we even bother to return.

Yet another high quality fantastic song joins the ever increasing AshtonFlop pile. -_- It's really starting to take the p***. Some of the utter $h!te that qualifies/does well nowadays.

It's quite clear what we have to do to do well. I didn't want to go down this route in the slightest, i thought i was done with it. But, apparently its more effective. I'm not going to sit and DNQ for months on end just because i have a spark of originality and enter something that isn't on the release schedule, been arse raped by popjustice or some other blog.

don't mine the release schedule, it isn't worth it :snif: I felt exactly the same about Headhunted and Miss Blue, particularly the former, but sometimes songs just don't click with people for some reason or another :(

and DEFINITELY do NOT leave!!! The contest can't lose you, if you threaten to withdraw it will be a case of RontviaXVgate again, except this time it will be me persuading you to stay! Just pretend that the cheap tracks haven't even been entered like I do and bump your result up a few places after you've taken all of the release schedule rubbish out :( it's far more satisfying sending stuff you love and want to introduce people to than reminding them of something that they already know - it just seems utterly pointless and a waste of an entry in the contest -_- my chart would be a lot less pop-trashy without Ashton's monthly input :kink:

If you leave you will just let these filthy release schedule users win :kink:

I have too much class to mine the release schedule. I've survived since the beginning without looking at that thing and i don't intend to start now. Untouched was perfect for this contest, and for it to have sat in the bottom 3 for most of the week is disgusting. I thought this would be more of a Tone/Alex than yet another Alone/IN2U/Colour Me Dirty.

I'm forever championing the Risks FTW way forward, but the contest is still uninspired and i still hate the indie invasion with a passion. The return of Camdonia filled me with dread rather than joy, the opposite to the majority. I'm fed up, i'd quite like to ban anything that was Popjustice's song of the day, anything that appears on the blog everyone now loves and the release schedule. As well as everything from the current era of an artist with an AF.

Naturally that'd cause far too many people to have to think about their entry and come up with something innovative and original.

I'm sticking to that plan i pm'd you the other day. My XXIII plan has not changed one bit. Hopefully this one will do just as well as V.......

If you leave you will just let these filthy release schedule users win :kink:

They already do on a monthly basis :(

there'd only be about 4 songs left in the contest  :( and they should all be loving my blog quite frankly, not that of some randomer who I actually know but that's besides the point :smoke:

Ashton goes old school

Having shocking DNQ'd this month the ASC has thrown Risks FTW firmly out the window for XXIII much to the delight of the Ashtonise public and has confirmed it's going old school for XXIII.

Another Risks FTW failure has taken it's toll on the team tasked with finding the Ashtonise entries. So much so, of the 10person team, 9 have signed off sick for the next two months. The ASC has made no attempt to cover their quest to return to the glory days when Ashton were regular fixtures in the top10.

The ASC has prematurely announced that Ashton will be represented in XXIII by the Sugababes. They will be singing Thank You For The Heartbreak [Live]. The ASC hopes TYFTH will follow in the foot steps of HITH into the final of XXIII.

The ASC, GRA, The President and Ashtonise public have thrown their support behind FSR Rontvia for XXII.

It's be a lot easier to come top10 at least :kink:

I haven't even decided my entry to XXIII yet :kink:

but all support is welcome

hope you get back to the final next month and I'm sure you will :w00t:

Oh boy  I kind of missed the aftermath of this, and I know that I've been known to plunder the release schedule (on reflection, I admit, I was desperate for the win, though I really did love the song) but I agree with everyone else - you CANNOT leave :snif: It's countries like Ashton that this contest has been based upon, countries that have always pushed the envelope, never rested on their laurels and demonstrated the true meaning in Risks FTW. Do you think I would have dared send a Swedish language JESC entry without that? The contest would be an infinitely poorer one withot you :(

We hope so too. We can just about take 1DNQ per decade.

There really is only 4 of us trail blazers left, 3 of whom don't have any problem with success. :( Without Ashton there would be less TrashyFemPop and one less person in the ACM.

and thank you, it's not often we get praise like that from someone other than Rich. [Not that we've had any Laurels to rest on......]

Oh an i blame Theo and the Sugababes Management. if it wasn't for that pair i'd have f***ing won XXI and i'd have AQ'd and we wouldn't be having this issue.
