I'm just saying that it will look hypocritical, commenting on cheap entries, and then potentially sending a future Top 5 single, by the time the final comes along. I only brought up the statement because it did make me laugh.

I have no idea what is wrong with indie songs being sent either, but I won't go into that.

I just really hate them, well most of them.

I know it doesn't look that good, but i have my reasons for entering it.

Nobody marks down on cheap anyway, I think it would be fine...Love Story only did so badly because Taylor Swift isn't very popular on Buzzjack...she would have done just as well/badly if the song had been sent 6 months before I reckon :o

LOL.

that statement was a joke by the way :P

I know, that's why I laughed :kink:

good, I'm glad you didn't think that I genuinely thought that :heehee:

I can't call how these entries will all do to be honest :o I expect they will all make the top ten along with a lesbian duo and an incredible French language song...or was that another contest :kink:

I'm off to find another unmemorable shock winner :P

I'm off to try and find some spectacular synthpop which gets old quick or is ignored by everyone except Chart mods :heehee:

I might hold back any amazing unknown SMASHES I find until XXIV - I won't bother making too much effort for XXIII I don't think, whatever I send has already missed the top ten

Ashton Begins work on XXIV

Riverside may have given Ashton their first ever back to back DNQ on sunday, but the ASC is already hard at work on Riverside's follow up. The country is searching hard to find a star to lead them to glory. The SNA is considering a national final to select the entry. The last and only time an Ashtonise entry was selected by a NF the country made a triumphant return to the top5 after a lengthy absence.

A shortlist of entries is being drawn up by the ASC and is said to include only the most original and inspired entries the country can find. Any affiliation to the UK or US charts or prior BJSC form results in the artist not making the list.

Ashton is aiming to re-establish itself as an innovator and an inspired and original country.

The move see's the ASC/SNA attempt to distance itself as far as possible from the Uber cheap but Ashtonise public entry of Riverside.

BJSC XXIV - Vision 2010 - The search for a star

The ASC has announced that it will be unveiling it's candidates for XXIV in Quotosibb over the course of the day.

First up is Nazanin, with Someday.

A powerful and emotive ballad that was released in Ashton last week and debuted at #7 in the Ashtonise chart yesterday.

The song, recorded in 2007, looks set to become huge in Ashton this year with AirAshton picking it up as the song for their new advertisements.

BJSC XXIV - Vision 2010 - The search for a star

The second option for XXIV comes from Finland. A country that has brought us the amazing Anna Abreu and smash Ashtonise #1 Music Everywhere.

The song chosen by the ASC, if chosen, would be Ashton's first full entry not to be sung in English. The Finnish track by Kristiina Brask has been described by Scandi bloggers in Ashton as 'sensational' and a 'slice of scandi heaven'. The former Finnish Idol contestant placed third in 2007, losing out on a place in the final to former Rontvia entry Anna Abreu.

Kuivilla Susta is to be released physically in Ashton next week. AshTunes added the song this morning where it has since shot up to #17 on it's chart.

Track 3 is due shortly

BJSC XXIV - Vision 2010 - The Search For A Star

Third potential entry is by UK electro/grime artist Mz Bratt.

The song, Who Do You Think You Are, is set to an infectious beat and has become an overnight sensation on the Ashtonise club circuit.
