Loving the new entry at #5, I know the Ashtonise public doesn't vote in BJSC, but I hope it's a good sign  Nat Bass is due to chart in Numayania next week, well within the top 20.

Japayork Gets All Emotional in Ashton

Japayork today continued his tour of the BuzzJack world in the nation of Ashton (assuming no name changes have occured during the writing of this report!) by performing to tracks live on Ashtonise radio. The Kingdom of Shadow's autoqualifying entry into BJSC XXV was quite excited to hear Nat Bass would once again be returning to the BJSC in XXV; 'She's fast becoming a contest legend. Is this her third or fourth entry now? I don't know but I DO know they've all been stunning and I'm ecstatic Ashton have been brave enough to send the stunning 'Turn the Lights On'. We all know The Great Kingdom famously sent Mutya with a ballad and it proved very risky but I really hope Ashton are more successful this time!'. The Kingdom of Shadow has received a barrage of points from the Ashtonise people in the last few contests but will Japayork be a little too electro in the newer and purer public?

So New

:cheer: Thanks kindly for your visit! Glad to hear TTLO has gone down well in the Kingdom!

It's Nat's 3rd appearance in BJSC. Botanikka sent Someday Soon  and Jrk-Off send This Can't Be Love

They do in the SNA era :cheer:

Unless we DNQ, when they tend to refuse to vote :kink:

Electric Storm was as close as Delta gets to an Uptempo

Delta has loads of amazing ballads but only one life changingly amazing one :kink:

Innocent Eyes was uptempo too I guess - still not exactly quick and upbeat though...

Nat Bass entered my chart at #20 this week by the way, the highest Ashton entry in FSR Rontvia since Alex Roots last year!

Believe Again

Mistaken Identity is quite uptempo, especially on the Believe Again Tour.

:cheer: Woooo!!! We're thrilled to have another top20 hit in FSR Rontvia

indeed, and she definitely needs to do a studio version of Predictable vs. Sweet Dreams  I can't even tolerate the slow tempo of the original now :drama:

I had Turn The Lights On just before I got out of my car the other day and then it was in my head for the remainder of the day

She really does, but i'll settle for the live for now  I can't listen to it either

    It's amazing. Can't believe i shunned it for so long :drama:

It's so epic. I have to be honest, of all of the Nat Bass solo stuff I've heard so far I've thought 'really good but I don't LOVE it' but I find your entry absolutely brilliant, such good production on it, it really adds to the power of the song  Still nothing can top Voodoo Child, but what can? :heehee:

I utterly adore Someday Soon, and have done right from the start. I think her album has some amazing tracks on it.

I never got as far as TTLO :drama: i used to play the singles :(

If i did a ballad rate, it'd score extremely highly. As you said the production is really good  It's just so stunning  I'm a sucker for a ballad and this gets me hook line and sinker

I Never Liked You is making a good attempt for me right now :heehee:

Yay :D Maybe it could be Numayania's first Ashtonie 12 since, um, Alcazar

Whether NatBas will match the #4 peak of Alex Roots in Numayania, time will tell... :kink:

Queen Gabriella bags her second #1 album in Ashton

Queen Gabriella Cilmi's second album, Ten, has entered the Ashtonise Album Charts at #1. The album is the first to debut at number 1 in 5months, after the #1 spots on both the album and singles charts have been monopolised by the 3rd line up of the Sugababes.

Last week saw the shocking over throw of Sweet 7 - The Keisha EP from the top of the Ashtonise album chart, this week sees Thank You For The Heartbreak toppled by Ashtonise BJSC entry Turn The Lights On after an amazing 20week run at the top of the chart. Thank You For The Heartbreak sold a further 12million copies this week seeing it close the gap to best selling single, Now You're Gone, to just 24million. Thank You For The Heartbreak slides out of the top 10 this week. A substantial fall, but after a huge run at #1 and such high sales it's unsurprising. On A Mission stays at it's peak of #2 for a fourth week and Numayanian BJSC entry 'Tea Party' jumps Wait For You to land at #3. Queen Gabriella's second Ashtonise single, Invisible Girl, makes an early appearance at #5. On the album chart Ten debuts with a massive 30million gap over last week's #1 Natalie Bassingtwaighte which falls one spot to #2. S7-TKEP also falls one to #3 as it nears the half billion sales mark and the full version of Sweet7 drops out of the top5 after just one week. Sweet 7 is the bands worst performing album in Ashton to date. Untouched FSR Ashvia release 'Dirty Freak' re-enters the top5 after it's deluxe edition hit shops 3weeks ago. It's the albums 19th top5 week. Jessica Mauboy has also released a deluxe edition of her debut album. Been Waiting move up 30 places to #5.

Nat Bass DNQ's

Natalie Bassingthwaighte has shockingly DNQ'd in BaNG. The sensationally beautiful track got drawn into the more indie semi final and despite Scandipop trash making it through along side the usual indie garbage the Federal Republic misses out for the 4th time in a row.

The Government on Ashton has announced that it will issue a referendum on Wednesday to decide if the country will continue in BJSC.

er...yeah, don't know what to say other than gutted once again

You would have got at least an 8 from me this month, possibly 10 or 12. Not sure what to suggest next really. Indie by the looks of it

Phil, you know I'm a fan of Ashton's entries but I do think you're taking this a liitle bit too seriously. Ballads have never done well and you knew that when you enterred Nat. This is a contest to see what people like most and I guess most people would rather hear an upbeat track.
I think a change in the selection approach and process is the way forward! You reserve judgement for a select few of us and place a lot of stock in Rich's opinion - perhaps widen the feedback? I place great store by Rich's opinion but ultimately it doesn't dominate ^_^

:( i am too. f***ing indie trash. Ruining the contest likes. Until the indie invasion i had no hassle qualifying with my countries sound, now in a SF where only 5 bloody tracks don't make it i'm one

I won't send ear rape. If i can't stand it there's no way i'm entering it just so i can qualify.

About You Now for XXVI????

I wouldn't exactly call 80% of the indie trash uptempo.

Plus, Yohanna did rather well with an epic ballad.

I'd agree. Send something that Rich wouldn't like for a start :kink:

We did have a NF this time that Rich and Tom [Kay] responded to. There's only so much i can do.
