Sorry :lol: Basically Belarus found it's entry this year through an X Factor type programme, but then they found that the TV station it was done on wasn't actually part of the EBU. So they had to do it all over again :rofl:

Ah i see. Not quite, the selection process still stands and SCB will be entering the winner into XXVI. SNÁ and the ASC have had a dispute which has lead to SNÁ throwing toys out of the pram and SCB being brought in to broadcast the contest while the dispute is solved.
Ah, OK. I'm sure you'll change your entry long before confirmation though :kink:
That's why the method of doing NF's is quite ineffective when there's too long to wait until the confirmation. You're so going to change your entry anyway. You're Phil anyway. :kink:
Yeah mine never really work either. Still I might do one soon :lol:

Melodi Grand Prix Áskorza - Grand Final || Red Blooded Stage, Royal Ashtonise Centre for the Performing Arts, Morpeth Cove, Reigia d'Áskorza Capitilia - THE RESULTS

Good evening and welcome, i'm Queen Gabriella Cilmi and i'll be your host this evening. Glad you've managed to find us on SCB Alpha. Due to Southern Cross Broadcasting's late takeover of this show the results will be short, sweet and too the point. So without further delay lets begin. Firstly, Ashton's vote has been calculated from televotes, over 3billion of them have been received, and have been divided up on a per state basis.

The 7 states of Ashton have apportioned votes as follows: 06,04,03,02,01,00.

Now the dull stuff's out the way, on with the results!

Finishing in 6th place with 28 points is my track What If You Knew [12pts Ashton, 5th - Saynher Janslic awarded the highest mark, a 6]

Finishing in 5th place with 35 points is Kim Reddy's Stay With Me [4pts Ashton, 6th - Cairndale awarded highest mark, a 2]

Finishing in 4th place with 51points is another of my tracks this time, Robots [18pts Ashton, 4th - Nátriyzen and Yanthington both awarded 4]

Onto the medal spots,

The song that came in third place was awarded the following by the voters:

04 || Sanvoria

03 || Cairndale

01 || Ashworth

06 || Nátriyzen

02 || Arkepelicania d'Saynher Janslic

03 || Reigia d'Áskorza Capitilia

03 || Yanthington

08 || FSR Rontvia

06 || Greenfroze

01 || FNT Nickodonia

04 || Zechonia

12 || Botanikka

02 || Numayania

Giving my final track, Invisible Girl a total of 55.

A close run battle between In The Sun and The Liar And The Lighter was waged on the international stage with one track just getting a single point more than the other. The battle was won and lost within the States of Ashton

International voters awarded the following to the tracks

43 || The Liar And The Lighter

42 || In The Sun

So close!

The state of Sanvoria gave 6 and 3 to the tracks

Reigia d'Áskorza Capitilia awarded 6 and 4 to the tracks

The final state, Yanthington awarded the tracks 6 and 2.

The runner up finishes with 65points and the winner with 76points.

Winning Melodi Grand Prix Áskorza with 76points is..................

.........GABRIELLE APLIN - THE LIAR AND THE LIGHTER

The ASC however has not confirmed TLATL for XXVI yet as they are awaiting for confirmation from broadcasters SNÁ and SCB over who will be broadcasting XXVI and what direction they will take.

One of the top3 [invisible Girl, In The Sun and TLATL] will be entered. It is understood that the ASC prefers In The Sun, but with the battle for She and Him looking to be heated, the ASC has a back up in TLATL.

Wow, didn't expect that winner :o I think it would go down well, particularly as it definitely can't DNQ!!!
The Liar and The Lighter is a beautiful song. I can't believe I've heard another ballad I like as much as 'Walk It Off' and I only heard that last night. Actually, it is probably my favourite ballad since I heard Lykke Li's 'Possibilty' :wub: I definitely prefer this over She & Him and that is saying something.

Neither did i. I did the state's points then put in the international votes before totalling it. It won the international vote as well as trouncing everything in the Ashtonise vote. :o

SNÁ and ASC settle their dispute

Ashton's national broadcaster, Santi Natio Áskorza [sNÁ], have settled their dispute with the ASC. In a press release from SNÁ the dispute was over the future direction of Ashton's entries and how to adapt their strategy in the event of an Sekonde Chansj round for XXVII.

Vision 2010 will remain, with XXVI going under the title: Vision 2010 || New Directions.

Risks FTW will also remain in a smaller capacity, much to the annoyance of SNÁ.

A mediator was brought in to ensure the smooth broadcast of XXVI on Ashtonise TV.

"The 26th Buzzjack Song Contest || Live from Hendinia" will be broadcast on SNÁ-1 [Ch1] and SNÁ-1 +1. SNÁ-2 [CH2] will broadcast Green Room footage at the request of the ASC. SNÁ confirmed that this was part of the dispute as they would have to move the Áskorzjan broadcast to SNÁ-Prime.

nice winner :wub: though Cilmi song was the best by mile.

and I never got into She And Him, especially after everybody (apart from me) wants them for BJSC 26.

SNÁ discover millions of suspicious votes

Santi Natio Áskorza [Ashton National Television, SNÁ] have discovered millions of suspicious votes. Computers doing sweeps of the recorded televotes have discovered 250million from SCB's Sanvorian regional HQ and 100m from Cairndale's Regional HQ. SNÁ have also calculated that some 25% of the votes are missing. Southern Cross Broadcasting claimed to have received 3,928,098 votes, but SNÁ only has record of 2,981,024 votes being cast including the suspicious votes.

Under ASC rules none of the Televotes are allowed to come from persons and companies associated with a National Final. SNÁ have so far found 589million votes that have come from SCB's regional HQ's made via automated dialling systems. In the hour televotes were open nearly 10million calls per minute came from SCB. It is estimated that 750million votes for Gabrielle Aplin will be deemed illegal. It it likely that She & Him will be announced as the rightful winner of Melodi Grand Prix Áskorza and will be Ashton's XXVI representative. The ASC are said to be thrilled that She & Him will be representing Ashton.

She & Him confirmed for Ashton

The ASC has announced that She & Him will be representing Ashton with In The Sun in Hendinia. Gabrielle Aplin's National Final victory has been deemed illegal and the ASC decided internally that She & Him was the best choice for the country. Both songs received strong international support with just one point between them. Santi Natio Áskorza confirmed moments ago that She & Him were the rightful victors of Melodi Grand Prix Áskorza by 5points. The song, In The Sun, is expected to reach #1 on the Ashtonise chart on Sunday rising 14places from last weeks position and it's current peak.

The Ashtonise public have shown renewed interest in BJSC after MGPÁ and the announcement that XXVI will constitute one large final. Ashtonise nationals are delighted that XXVI will see the country return to the final for the first time since XXI and Ashton's hosting of TBO XI-XX.

She & Him - In The Sun

It is as yet unknown if She & Him will tour Buzzjack to promote their entry.
