The Federal Republic of Ashton is utterly Thrilled at Gabreille's 16th place with a huge 150 points.

 

 

The ASC has confirmed that Molly Sandén will be this months entry.

The ASC this evening confirmed that Ashton was sticking with it's plan and is sending Molly Sandén with her track "Mitt Liv Är Mitt" to BJSC XXVIII.

 

I like - OK, that was a given :kink: But it's good to hear the Swedish language back in the contest, for the first time since Numayania sent her little sis in XXV (I think? :unsure:)

 

Anyway, would really like some help on what to send, please check out my thread...

Maria Haukaas Storeng signed on for BJSC XXIX

 

Norwegian sensation, FSR Ashvian Pop Royalty and ESC 2008 star Maria Haukaas Storeng has today agreed to represent Ashton at the 29th Buzzjack Song Contest with a track from her debut album, Breathing. It is currently unknown what track Maria will sing, AshBet has 'I Surrender' as the favourite for selection with Frájlien having 'Breathing' and 'Nowhere Fast' as their joint favourite.

 

This will be Maria's third BJSC appearance having made her first appearance with fellow Ashvian Pop Royalty and collaborator/friend Mira Craig in the top3 hit Mine All Mine which topped the charts in both FSR Rontvia and Ashton. More recently Maria has appeared with Swede Mans Zelmerlow with her new track Precious To Me which has also topped the Ashtonise Chart. This would be Maria's first solo appearance.

I thought it was about time :wub: If this does turn out to be the last contest in this format at least I can say I've done it all now - male/female/foreign/numerous genres and nationalities/unknown winners/produced two of my own entries or edits etc... I didn't want to leave any stone unturned :heehee:

 

Hope you do well with Molly :D It's amazing how much her 2009 MF entry grew on me by the way :o It was one of my 3 least favourites of the 11 songs when I saw her do it live but I love it now! Still not as good as Snalla Snalla though in terms of the Swedish language ballads on offer that year :heehee:

It was a nice song but got lost in the pack a bit and she finished dead last in the final with only 2 points :drama: I felt sorry for her then but not as sorry as reading in the newspaper the next day that a waiter had got glass in her eye at the MF after party :drama:

By the way, I just realised that neither of us ever got round to sending Delta's Predictable Dreams, at least in the current 'format' of BJSC :(

Had I remembered about it in time it would have been a nice closing entry for me, bookending with live Delta entries :lol: And there's finally an HQ version of it on Youtube too now! I wish I'd found room to squeeze in Stadt by Cassandra Steen/Adel Tawil too...

 

Oh well, I love my current entry just as much, although for an entirely different reason, it always makes me smile/happy as most uptempo Scandi-pop does! :wub: It's yet another one of those I thought I'd never get round to sending.

Ashton aims to smash the 'final' BJSC

 

With reports suggesting a major format revamp will be underway during BJSC's short but not of a fixed length break, the ASC and SNÁ are hoping to go out on a high note with Molly Sandén smashing into the top10. The ASC confirmed that 8th would be ideal as it means the country starts and finished this format in the same position, some 28 contests later! The SNÁ are more optimistic hoping the country can mark it's long awaited top3 return by stealing the top spot.
