Congrats! Your 3rd 18 pointer from moi, and very well deserved - it was in my head at work all day long yesterday :drama:

It's about the only song I correctly predicted the place of in my odds this month :lol:

Red Blooded Women Split

Two time Ashtonise representative Red Blooded Women have split. The news has been met with great sadness in Ashton who have declared a national day of mourning. The band, who never released an album, didn't give a reason for the split. The Ashtonise public had been eagerly awaiting their debut album and the full version of new track Halo. The band's Ashtonise Chart performance is detailed bellow:

Colour Me Dirty || Peak - #1 || Weeks on Chart - 79 || Weeks at peak - 14 Non Consecutive || Sales - 298,526,596

You Made Your Bed || #1 || 61 || 2 || 214,996,319

Synthesizer || #3 || 41 || 7 || 254,332,393

Enjoy The Silence || #1 || 11 || 1 || 104,693,199

Relax || #5 || 25 || 1 || 165,740,006 ***Currently at #198***

Colour Me Dirty has since rocketed to #1 on the AshTunes chart. While downloads usually only make up 7.25-15.85% of a songs sales, Colour Me Dirty has sold such a large volume in the past 2hrs that it is expected to be the first track to reach #1 on the Ashtonise Chart without physical sales.

Experts reckon that Red Blooded Women will sell over 50m singles this week.

Red Blooded Women came 14th with Colour Me Dirty in BJSC VII and 22nd in BJSC XII with You Made Your Bed. Colour Me Dirty is widely acknowledged as one of Ashton's flagship entries despite it only finishing 14th. The band are also credited with starting the Risks FTW movement within Ashton, a entry strategy that has brought 4 top5's to Ashton including the countries Debut win.

ASC Confirm options for BJSC XXXI

After 3 successful months the ASC has revealed the two tracks that they believe will provide Ashton with a record 4th top 10 finish. Former Ashtonise and Tinnmark entrant and Ashtonise TV host, Tone Damli, features on both tracks and is joined by rapper Vinni on one of them.

Tone Damli - No Way Out

The first option, No Way Out is the fourth single in Norway and Ashton from the sublime Cocool. The track is piano lead mid-tempo and the standout from Tone's fourth album.

Tone Damli feat Vinni - Stuck In My Head

The second option is Stuck In My Head. The pop/rap track genuinely will get stuck in your head and was the third single from Cocool.

The ASC has confirmed that they have approached other artists since XXX, but none have been offered the slot for XXXI. It is though that Ashton will head to either Canada, Sweden or Romania for their 32nd entrant. All 3 countries have provided top10 finishers for Ashton.

Go with No Way Out...

SIMH really isn't all that...

I've been split between the two tracks since the album came out :lol:

No Way Out is slightly edging it at the moment, but it's 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other.

No Way Out is by far the better of the two imo! Stuck In My Head would be much better without the rapper.
I'm completely over Stuck In My Head now - No Way Out on the other hand never seems to get boring :o

See i'm still in love with SIMH, and i think the rapper is perfect for the track. Hence the major dilemma.

No Way Out is more likely to be a vote winner at the end of the day. SIMH does need to grow initially.

Exactly, I was addicted to it for about a month but I don't listen to it much now, and as you said, it wasn't until the 4th or 5th listen that I actually thought 'this is better than most of the rest of the album'. No Way Out was my instant favourite.

Oh hell yeah, first listen through i picked No Way Out as the epic one. Stuck In My Head grew after about 3 listens and a day stuck in my head :lol:

Ashton confirms it's 31st BJSC entry

The ASC confirmed that it had presented the winner of the Ashtonise National Final to the Buzzjack Broadcasting Union via the Host Nation. The winning track, which due to confirmation regulations is a closely guarded secret, despite the victory being well publicised throughout Ashton. Rapper Vinni was spotted boarding a plane to Oslo early this morning. The flight has a layover in Katyfornia so it is unknown if Vinni travel to Hendinia separately from Tone to keep the identity of the winning track secret or if he was headed back to Oslo.

SNÁ target unknown Canadian's for XXXII

Our source at the SNÁ has confirmed that they have lined up a Canadian artist for BJSC XXXII. The duo are both female and have less than 10,000 likes on Facebook.

The ASC is reported to have already chosen the track that the band will represent Ashton with.

I take it it's not Dragonette :kink:

Nope, they've already had the honour and privilege of representing Ashton after we stole them from Riviandia and before they went to Mdice and god knows who else

True Believer is Dragonette's highest finish to date :o

Like Mira, one top ten and everything else they touch is a guaranteed flop in BJSC :drama:

Indeed.

This should be a lesson, artists who've represented FSR Ashvia always do worse for another country.

Except poor Mira who did worse for you :lol:

Unknown Canadian's take the fight to Tone Damli

Ashtonise Queen Tone Damli is set to lose her spot representing Ashton at BJSC XXXI if the latest rumours are to be believed. Unsigned Canadian duo 'KaraMel' were seen leaving the ASC's head quarters in the early hours of the morning for a charted jet flying out of Morpeth Heights Private Airport. Our spies tell us that the plane was bound for Hendinia.

It is not known what track KaraMel would sing, our source saw a short list of two tracks. 'Suckerpunch' and 'Underwear'. The SNÁ are said to prefer Underwear after previous disasters with low tempo tracks. It is thought the final call will be made just hours before the competition starts.

KaraMel - Underwear

KaraMel - Suckerpunch

AshBet has Underwear as the favourites, while BjitLander has No Way Out as the favourite to represent Ashton in neighbouring Hendinia.

KaraMel fly the flag for Ashton in Hendinia

Canadian duo KaraMel have fought off competition to represent the federal republic in Hendinia. In one of the closest fought NF's in Ashtonise history.

Underwear was selected as the bands entry for being a vibrant pure pop epic with a catchy chorus. Emperor Silas said that the song 'was a perfect representation of Ashton. It's a great, fun and slightly cheeky track that has the ability to get firmly lodged in your head. I am very proud that this is representing Ashton and I believe this is the entry to take us to our record 4th top 10 in a row.'

The song is on top of the Ashtonise chart with sales in excess of 45million last week. The song also topped the Radio and TV airplay charts with more than double the radio plays of second and more than six times the TV plays of second in the respective charts.

Reports have suggested that after a large period of disinterest in the contest from the Ashtonise public following a string of poor results, [The final of the 25th contest received just 1.3million viewers] the spark and adoration the Ashtonise had for the contest has returned following a string of what one Ashton national described as 'Sensational' entries.

The real test is a week on Saturday, but the people of the Federal Republic's once vast passion for the contest has returned [all but 2 of the entries are set to enter the top100 on Sunday night] and with it the results that had Red Blooded Women hail Ashton as 'Mighty'.

Great entry, suitably trashy, inspired and unknown - I approve!

I love Tone but I'm a little bit over No Way Out and Stuck In My Head now and I doubt you'd have got more than 3 or 4 points from me.

I adore Tone, but No Way Out was a little safe. Very middle of the road mid-tempo, not quite what i was aiming for :lol:

I do love my trash, and i have to send it every now and then to remind people that FSR Ashvia is the home of Trashypop. :kink:
