KaraMel makes the TBO final

KaraMel made the TBO final tonight with the utterly sublime Underwear. The song which originally came 4th in it's contest has given Ashton a TBO Finalist for the second year on the bounce.

Underwear was recently nominated for Ashtonise Song of the Year and has sold some 279m copies since it's release.

Wtf at the sales amount. 279m?!

Underwear comes 24th in TBO final

The Federal Republic of Ashton is thrilled to announce that the recently split KaraMel have come 24th in the final of the 4th TBO. A spokeswoman for the ASC said that they were thrilled about the result. A spokesman from the SNÁ said they were very pleased with the running of this years contest, the first to be run without the co-operation of ISBK (The Kopeck national broadcaster), but are disappointed with the Royal Ashton Concert Hall's new electronic scoreboard's technical issues with it playing up severely throughout the contest.

Sources at SNÁ, its sister company AMC, ASC, Governa Republique d'Áskorza and Royal Ashton Live Venue's are halting the roll out of the next generation scoreboard until the technical issues can be worked out from this beta model.

The ASC confirm the return of Tone Damli

At a press conference this afternoon, the ASC and SNÁ confirmed that Ashtonise legend Tone Damli Aaberge would be once again representing the nation in her 4th quest to take BJSC victory. Tone's last BJSC entry was for Tinnmark with 'I Love You' making the upper reaches of a One Big Final, previously to that she DNQ'd for Tinnmark in BJSC XV and stormed to 4th for Ashton with the legendary 'Butterflies' in BJSC XX. Since XX Butterflies has gone on to become the highest selling single of all time in Ashton. Albums Cocool and I Know both recently entered the all time top 10 bestsellers list for the Federal Republic.

Ashton Looks Back to XX for XLI

It gives the Federal Republic of Ashton great pleasure to announce the return of Tone Damli Aaberge to BJSC with 'Look Back' a stunning new track from the writers of 'I Love You' (Ina Wroldsen and David Eriksen). 'Look Back' has that classic Tone Damli feel, a sound kick started by former Ashton entry 'Butterflies' (4th BJSC XX), and a chorus that feels right out the studio of Max Martin.

The euphoric track tells the tail of someone who refuses to look back at the end of a relationship and continues Tone's streak of incredible string laden pop songs. 'Look Back' has been out just 4 days in Norway and Ashton and has occupied the top spot of iTunes Norway and AshTunes ever since. The Ashton Media Report, the Ashtonise MusicWeek, announced yesterday that after just 3 days on sale Tone had outsold the rest of the top 40 combined with massive sales of 141m, of which 125m are of the physical CD. Tone Damli's popularity has continued to grow since she was first brought to our attention by Tinnmark in BJSC XV with 'I Know'. Since then 'Butterflies' has gone on to be the highest selling single of all time in Ashton and is still in the countries top20 over two and a half years after it's release.

The Emperor of Ashton, Emperor Silas Áskorza, had this to say on the selection of Tone: "I am thrilled to be welcoming the Queen of Ashton back to BJSC. With over a billion record sales under her belt in Ashton alone since her last entry she has the countries full backing and we are hopeful that she can continue Ashton's recent success streak. Our primary aim is as always to introduce an amazing artist to someone new and we hope that the countries who have entered BJSC after 'I Love You' was entered by Tinnmark fall in love with Tone the way Ashton has."

On that note, here is the glorious track set to be #1 in Ashton for the foreseeable future:

Predictable as hell as an entry, but definitely your best in a long time!

Predictable it may be but as soon as I heard it I just had to enter it. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to enter a song this good.

The Ashton Media Report estimates that a billion people tuned into Afternoon Bitch with Keisha Buchanan where the video was premièred with Tone Damli sitting at the bitch desk for a chat. The ratings were also an all time high for ABwKB. SNÁ|Music dedicated the day to Tone Damli and Norwegian pop with the 7pm showing of "Tone Damli: Through The Years" gaining 725m viewers, a channel record.

SNÁ|Rontvia, SNÁ|Kopecka and SNÁ|Numayne'ja aslo recorded strong ratings from ABwKB and the 11pm special broadcast of "Tone Damli: Through The Years". The three channels have been showing clips of the video with appropriate voting information in Numayania and purchase information.

As expected, Look Back entered the Ashtonise chart at #1 with sales of 241,726,017. Rachel Platten's 1000ships continued it's slow burn up Ashton's charts coming in the runner up position to Tone with sales of 10,946,188 for a total of 78,124,047. Knife Party - Internet Friends slips 1-3 this week with sales of 8,410,499 after a two week reign at the top of the chart. Look Back flies into the final of XLI

Tone Damli qualified this evening for the final of the 41st Buzzjack Song Contest. The widely anticipated qualification was met with widespread joy throughout Ashton and the wider Buzzjack world.

Look Back is odd on favourite of the SF1 tracks to win with it's average odds at 6/1. Lowest odds available are 1/1 in BJSC's first Evens for a while. The ASC and SNÁ refuse to talk publicly about Ashton's chances of a second victory but privately are said to be thrilled at the reception the track has received and are confident of a top5 finishing spot and hopeful of a victory. Officially the ASC and SNÁ are both sticking to the line: "In line with our Risks FTW strategy, we aim to introduce high quality music to new audiences and any success that comes with that is an added bonus."

Look Back will be #1 on tomorrow's chart with estimated Sales in excess of 170m.
