Pretty sure it's the same ugly guy you're thinking of.

Thanks, although I think I've done worse before. The song is amazing

Nah, according to the Stats thread, your worst had been 18th place in Semifinal before this contest.

Excuse me! 2-2-11-25-DNQ.

A pretty good 5 months by Ashtonise standards. Not that we actually care about results, we've won already and run the show

A win on a technicality such as number of votes isn't really a win, by my standards at least haha. Win properly and we'll talk :D

Only foreign language winner. On count back or not it's still a record breaking victory. (The tie itself was a record breaker)

It's the only win we need.

Siobhan Donaghy to represent Ashton!

Ahead of the eagerly anticipated reunion of the first Sugababes line up it is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that Siobhan Donaghy will be representing Ashton at the 46th Buzzjack Song Contest with her incredible track 'Medevac'. The former B.a.N.G. representative, with the classic Ashtonise hit 'Don't Give It Up', will be competing in her second BJSC.

The selection of the former/current Sugababe is a hark back to Ashton's successful early days when in ten contests the Sugababes and former Sugababe Mutya Buena represented Ashton 4 times including 3 times in the first 5 contests!

Ghosts, the album, has undergone a resurgence in the Federal Republic selling out across stores nationwide following the announcement. Medevac is set to set a new peak position when it recharges this weekend along with former AshChart #1's Don't Give It Up, So You Say and Ghosts.

Siobhan returns Ashton to the top 5

Former Sugababe and current 'Mutya Keisha Siobhan' (i.e. 1.0) member Siobhan Donaghy returned Ashton to the top5 with a bang tonight in Ingermanlandia. Finishing in 4th, for the 5th time, with 156 points. Ashton's best result since the year started with back to back 2nds.

Medevac, Ashton's 46th BJSC entry, has shot to #1 on the AshChart.

Ashton head to France for the first time

"The Federal Republic today confirmed rumours that it was to be represented by a French artist. Inna Modja will be singing La Fille Du Lido in the 48th Buzzjack Song Contest. The catchy fun pop number features english verses and a delightful French chorus.

La Fille Du Lido and it's parent album, Love Revolution, have shot to #1 on the AshChart." Official ASC & SNÁ joint press release

When the ASC and SNÁ were asked at the press conference about Ramrynia sending Elen Levon, who came second for Ashton with the far superior Like A Girl In Love at the start of the year, Emperor Silas responded with a dismissive look before announcing the press conference as being over and sweeping out of the room. The two nations have had a pretty volatile year so far and by the looks of things that animosity is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

Ashton plans tribute and mass celebrations for 50th contest

The Federal Republic of Ashton is gearing up for it's 50th contest next month. Ashton, close allies FSR Rontvia and the ever present Kylienips are the first three nations to hit the landmark with a 100% participation record. The ASC and SNÁ have confirmed that there will be a TV history of Ashton's participation history among other yet to be announced tributes and celebrations across the nation.

The nation has hit a rough patch compared to recent strong performances but the ASC is confident the nation can finish the year with it's head held high and is looking forward to 2013.

The ASC and SNÁ are a central part of the contests 5th birthday celebrations, all of which remain top secret. SNÁ have confirmed that from November 1st there will be substantial BJSC related interruptions to it's normally scheduled programming.

Gabrielle Aplin returns!

British singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin has been announced as Ashton's 49th entrant with the song 'Please Don't Say You Love Me'. The beautiful track serves as the teen's debut single in the UK.

Gabrielle shot to fame in Ashton with her sublime cover of 'The Liar And The Lighter' which was widely credited as the saviour of Ashton from its streak of poor results from the 12th contest to the mid 20's. A revamped version of the classic track was released earlier this year and hit #8 on the AshChart, down from the original's #1 peak.

Aplin hits 7th, Sugababes return again

Following Gabrielle Aplin's smash #7 hit 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' the Federal Republic has decided to honour it's history by selecting the Sugababes as their 50th entry. Due to current BJSC regulations we can not confirm which track the girls will be singing or even which line up.

The ASC and SNÁ are reportedly absolutely thrilled with the performance of Gabrielle and are looking forward to the new year. Both have released a statement confirming that this contest is not about results but about celebrating 50 Ashtonise entries.

Congrats on your 7th place Phil. 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' is sublime and whilst it got 7 points off me, it was pretty much on par with the top 3 (I really adore my top 5 songs from BJSC 49). I also noticed Gabrielle Aplin listed on the UK release schedule. If there was any justice, it'd be a hit but it'll probably be destined for Radio 2 C-List obscurity and grab that #394 smash instead. -_-

Ashton proud of Sugababes performance despite finishing lowly

The ASC and SNÁ have both confirmed that they are very proud of the Sugababes qualifying for the final of the 50th contest and reiterated that there was not a performance target attached to this months contest. It was a mark of celebration for the Federal Republic.
