I'm going to try and get tickets for Liverpool. I wanted to take my little fella but he's only 12 so I'll have to go alone or with someone else 'younger' so it just looks like I'm 'chaperoning'. I doubt they'd appreciate an old hag going to their concerts!

Norma

I won't have enough money if they go on sale this Friday.

Plus, I wouldn't know which venue to choose, seeing as I'll be at uni by then (and I'm not sure which venue is the nearest...).

I'm getting my presale tickets on Wednesday, slightly dissapointed they're doing the MEN though :(

You're going to Kent Uni aren't you? Wembley would probably be closest. Is the Uni close to Sevenoaks? Is pretty easy to get to London from there.

If I was going to go normally i'd go to Sheffield (although it would be proper hard to get tickets) but as i'm going to be at Uni when they tour I wouldn't know whether Liverpool or Manchester would work out cheapest/easiest to get to !

gonna give this one a miss seen them twice anyway, including once already this year.
It won't let me log in for pre-sale tickets so it looks like I'm gonna have to miss out as I'm in a meeting at work when they go one proper sale and there's no one to get them for me at that time. c**ts.

The atmosphere will be pretty w*** at all the venues... bar maybe Sheffield imo.

I want them to do a few smaller venues. Doubt it will happen, but i'd be suprised if they didn't do another tour within the next year or so. But like I said before, i'm not overly fussed about seeing them this tour as i've already seen them and I doubt there'd be much variance in the set list. :(

I might try and go and get tickets to the NIA.

Do you have to be a member of their fanclub/website or something to get presale tickets?

Yeah. Pre-sale link is only avaliable if you're on Arctic Monkeys mailing list.

MAY go for Wembley I dunno, my finances aren't too good right now after Reading :(

Ahh okay, I might give it a go, I know some people who wouldn't mind going..

Or are they definitely going on a tour next year? As the NIA is a pretty piss poor venue tbh..

Not definitely, but I wouldn't be suprised if they did do. Or do some other 'big' gigs in the summer of next year like they did in 2007.

I don't think there'll be a massive wait until their 4th album either, so...

Yeah i'd go for it. I imagine it'll be a lot better crowd for these gigs and people will be a lot more familiar with the new songs by November as well. I'd have deffo tried to get tickets to see them had I not seen them at Leeds, but at the moment to tell you the truth i'd rather go see Paramore and You Me At Six (two bands i'm proper into at the moment) than the Arctic Monkeys. Purely for the fact I was a bit disappointed when I saw them at Leeds, and You Me At Six were sick live and Paramore are just mint.

agreed, they were hardly the best band at Reading by far, but they would of seemed a lot better if there was a better crowd who knew the new songs, as quite clearly they want to play the new songs far more than the old.

also they had the misfortune of following the Prodigy at R&L so yanno everyone seems bad compared lol (not that they were bad lol).

YESYESYES.

That was the longest two hours of my life but we GOT THERE. FINALLY managed to get my tickets :D

Last question :heehee: What would be the best way to buy tickets? Through the NIA website or is there a better ticket site?..

Use seetickets. That's probably got the best server etc.

BUT it's the most popular/well-known site so it crashes a fair amount. Is proper infuriating trying to get Leeds Festival tickets - like this year I was gonna be charged like £1400 all because their site f***ed up. @D
