no wonder there is this 'R&B bloc', it's just Mikal, Jark, James (and probably Jonjo) throwing songs around to each other on MSN :heehee:

to Aaron; I thought that Gravity, City and Love On The Rocks were better than Fairytale, but Little Voice was my 2nd favourite album of last year so I adored Fairytale too  Sara came up as a question on Weakest Link the other day :heehee: 'Sara Bareilles had a top ten album in the UK in 2008 with; Little Voice or Little Girl' or something similar

Exactly, no wonder they exchange points, it seems most of James' entries originated with one of them. How will he last without them? :heehee:

"Fairytale" is just my favourite on the whole album, even over "Love Song". I actually think it's a really consistent album, love her voice, not a single track I dislike. Only "Many The Miles" which I don't play as much as the rest. I forgot her album went top 10. :o

it was one of the most surprising top ten albums of the year! how many one hit wonders actually get a top ten hit album too? I'm surprised people wanted to hear more from her! shame she never had another hit :(

I only preferred This Is Alphabeat from last year, I agree with Many The Miles, it was a bit weak

I know! She could have easily had another top 40 hit, but it seems radio just ignored her after "Love Song". Odd because that was such a huge airplay hit and the album going top 10 must have shown potential for her.

I never downloaded the Alphabeat album, don't think it'd be for me. My main problem with "Many The Miles" was is being the longest song. :heehee:

I read an interview with her once and she said that the record company forced her to write a 'hit single' as the album had no obvious hits, and she came up with Love Song in retalliation to the idea, turned out that it was the smash that she needed

I'm not sure if anything else could from the album could have been a big hit here even with promotion, none of the songs were particularly instant

Yeah, I think I heard that, how ironic.

True, the album is such a grower, I thought "Fairytale" could be a good single. :(

Fairytale does have a video, I have a live DVD of hers and there's a music video of it on there, so it was obviously a single somewhere!
I can make such video any time you want... and money not necessary :heehee:
