Not Arctic Monkeys, who fell short of the 'longest no.1' record at the final hurdle, losing out to The Cribs' excellent follow up to 'Man's Needs'. 'Moving Pictures' is one of the highlights from an incredibly strong album, and is certainly not in my chart just to fill gaps. So, Arctics down, Manics stay where they are with 'Autumnsong', as does Hard-Fi's 'Suburban Knights' which is also one of this week's featured videos. An exclusive new entry at this week's no.5, and its an absolute blinder. 'Hurricane' sees the return of Athlete after their highly successful album 'Tourist' back in 2005. I love this song, and it isn't released until the 27th of August, so expect it to be a very strong contender for future no.1. In the bottom half of the chart we see another fresh new entry from Maxïmo Park. Imo, 'Girls Who Play Guitars' should have been the follow-up to 'Our Velocity', but i'm happy its getting a release as it's a great song. Expect it to climb into the top 5 over the coming weeks. And finally, at no.9 we see Arcade Fire making their third TOTB entry with 'No Cars Go', the follow-up to the brilliant 'Intervention'. It's released shortly though, so it probablies won't spend more than a few weeks in the chart. Hope you enjoy the new features i've added and the new layout for the chart.
