Serebro trash Simmondly; declare support for Bhangra

Serebro member Olga Seryabkina has publicly trashed N-Trance/Kelly Llorenna's Set You Free, saying that she would prefer to "douse [herself] in petrol and set [herself] alight" than have Simmondly win; and has backed Bhangra's "Toca's Miracle to beat Simmondly in the voting in the final...although not to win! Olga was quoted as saying, "I would obviously prefer it if we won of course!"; her comments have drawn criticism from many of Kopečka's musical experts, who have said that such comments should stay off record and that they would only harm Serebro's chances in the upcoming contest. Serebro are currently on their "Opium" tour, which stops off at Bhangra on May 1st and at Simmondly on May 8th.

The Kopeček BJSC committee would like to emphasise that any comments made by members of Serebro or their team are their personal beliefs and not those of Kopečka and should therefore not influence voting etc. :smoke::heehee:

The Dalisskian Daily

It has been rumoured that Dalisska's entry for Buzzjack Song contest 7 has already been internally selected. When asked about this, Vice-president Gina Paulina had this to say.....

!@&*%@!

Indeed.......regardless when we visited the minister for Song selection he hinted at the possibility

Well I have found a group that look promising.....but nothing has been finalized

Are dalissa getting too far ahead of themselves? What does this say for the Corrs? Am I ever going to stop asking questions? Do I actually realize that this question thing is the probably the worst joke ever? Watch this Space! :w00t:

I have to say that I'm impressed with the quality of all of the entries thus far :o Does anybody think we may have to do a semi-final? :drama: (with the limit of final entries being 28 that is)

FSR Rontvia's duo Untouched give their views on fellow participants

Liverpudlian electro-pop duo Untouched hope to follow in the footsteps of Atomic Kitten and Cilla Black as opposed to Jemini with their racy single Smack Me! which is aiming to take FSR Rontvia, who won BJSC4 courtesy of Sara Bareilles' Love Song, back to victory. Though Sibel Redzep scored an 8th place finish for the country in BJSC5, Fiona and David who make up the duo hope that they will have the support to go a bit higher. They feel that the song is contemporary, catchy and original and hope that the voters feel the same. Fiona has also been giving her views on some of the favourites on the contest. She has said that her favourite is Serebro's Opium representing Kopecka which is perhaps the closest sound to their own song; 'I love Opium, I don't understand the lyrics but they certainly sound racy and the song is a surefire winner'. When asked about her views on the hyped battle between Bhangra and Simmondly Fiona said 'they're both classic tracks. Kelly Llorenna is a legend and I'm sure she's got the fanbase to ensure a top 3 finish if not a win. I'm not sure that Coco has quite the same loyal fanbase'. She also rated the Mdice entry by Imogen Heap; 'It's so unique, I love listening to it at least three times a day though David absolutely hates it, it must be a marmite track'.

the limit should be 24 in the final in my opinion, 28 is ridiculously high :o

I'm not sure on this one tbh, it doesn't really make much of a difference to the voting time, and it's not like many people listen to the songs in a block (especially given that many songs will be fairly familiar to people...), so I think this one is up to Pavel :o
Maybe when there are loads more entries in the contest the Final number should be 28 (like if about 35-40 countries want to enter)

We got about 38 countries in BJSC #2, we narrowed it down to 24 countries afterwards if I remember correctly...I'm so glad we don't have anywhere near as many entries now! It really diluted it all, and there were so many ridiculous entries that contest :( Leona Lewis, P!nk, Rihanna - Don't Stop the Music...I think it's a lot better with the amount we have now ^_^ I reckon 32 is an optimum number of entries in the event of a semi-final, with 10 prequalifying from the previous contest and 14 qualifying from the semi with 8 missing out ^_^

A Bhangran newspaper has today reported that Kelly Llorenna was spotted in her homeland of Simmondly singing Toca's Miracle whilst out for a jog yesterday morning. :o

LMAO.

Timpo Times

Simmondly Eurovision leaders have slammed reports of Kelly Llorenna being spotter singng Toca's Miracle as it was infact Miracle by Cascada, Kelly Llorenna has said "An on-looker must have overheard me saying Miracle, but all the same best of luck to Bhangra as they do indeed need their miracle". When asked about the comments made from Serebro member Olga Seryabkina, Kelly had this to say "She is obviously worried about the competition and she has every right to be. Also Simmondly Eurovision leaders have denied reports of an "Opium" tour coming to Simmondly one of the representatives had this to say, "Marina Lizorkina's visa to enter our country has been denied therefore there will not be an Opium tour coming to Simmondly". When asked on a "Set You Free tour" Kelly Llorenna had this to say, "We are only doing the one off gig as we have so much instore for the final performance also my GP has told me to rest my voice as my throat is sore".

Coco spoke out publicly tonight on Bhang television's flagship news bulletin 'Bhang News at Ten'. Speaking to main anchor Sir Trevor McBhangald, she said, "this Llorenna bird wants to watch her mouth - she'll be doing herself no favours slagging off her two main rivals - myself and Serebro. She's probably just jealous after her "anthem" failed to reach the summit of the coveted UK charts, as my song did. I'm confident I can bring glory back to Bhangra, after two pretty poor results." It is currently unknown whether or not Coco and Fragma will have to participate in the semi-final, or indeed whether a semi-final will take place, however should the number of entrants exceed 35, it is likely they will, following a poor finish from the Revelations last month.

the battle continues! I wouldn't mind hearing Kelly Llorenna do a cover of Toca's Miracle :heehee:

I wonder if Kelly will hit back on the 'not getting to No.1 claim' by quoting the total sales of all versions Set You Free (800,000) in comparison to those of all versions of Toca's Miracle (just under 600,000)...

Kylienips delegation, have gave the host a lifetime Achievement Award on his 40th birthday :heehee:

Happy Birthday Martin

Unusually Quiet

The normally outspoken Lily Allen has so far declined to comment on the BJSC6 and what she rates her chances of winning. We managed to speak to the head of the ASC and he told us:

Lily's been in the Fothering Valley resting from her hectic recording sessions in preparation for the concert.
He also had this to say about Ashton's chances:

I don't want to speculate, but we should be in for another top 10 finish.

Marina's Visa Denied!

For unknown reasons, Marina Lizorkina of Serebro's visa has been denied by the Simmondlese authorities. Serebro are currently reapplying for her visa, which strikes them as "odd" given that the recent derogatory comments towards Simmondly were made by Olga Seryabkina.

Cascadia's most popular television show "The Night Show" on CBS (Cascadian Broadcasting Services) is offering a guest spot for anyone to wishes to perform in Cascadia on their promo tour. The show easily wins the time slot and has nightly about 3 million viewers, or nearly 20% of the entire nation's residents.

Bjork is also looking to start a promo tour and is looking for any interested countries.
