Posted July 28, 200816 yr http://i31.tinypic.com/11jyatv.png Chart Commentary Biffy have eased their way to a second no.1 with the exceptional 'Mountains' which will easily rank as one of the best number ones i've had this year. Just below them is probably one of the best non-number ones i've had, courtesy of Young Knives who cling to 2nd place with a vice-like grip. And again, at 3 is one of the best Coldplay songs around. 'Viva La Vida' would probably have been no.1 had it been given a confirmed release date. As it stands though, it is now the most successful song to chart without a release. The quality doesn't fade outside the top 3 either, with excellent songs from The Futureheads and Noah & The Whale completing what has to be one of the strongest top 5s in ages. The bottom half ain't bad either, with quality tunes from Bloc Party, CSS and The Verve ahead of the latest releases from Fratellis and Pigeon Detectives.
