Week Three (15 March, 2009) - Singles Chart

The seemingly unstoppable Lady Gaga manages to secure a third week at number one with sales increasing for the third week running with the massive "Poker Face". Jennifer Hudson's powerful ballad "If This Isn't Love" is held off the top spot for the third week running. September's follow-up to "Cry For You", "Can't Get Over" climbs again to find its place in the top three. This weeks highest new entry is from Enrique with his Red One produced "Takin' Back My Love". A surprise re-entry from Amy MacDonald with her worldwide number one hit "This Is The Life. Britney Spears and Lily Allen both manage to climb into the top ten with their new singles.

 

Outside of the top ten, Kings of Leon manage to climb with their third single, "Revelry" whilst Katy Perry re-enters with her latest single, "Thinking of You". Entering at number nineteen is The Noisettes with their new single "Don't Upset The Rhythm".

Lady Gaga manages to hold onto the top spot in the albums chart for a second week meaning she's once again topped both the singles and albums chart. Lily Allen holds on at number two whilst "Circus" jumps up one due to the rising popularity of the albums newest single, "If U Seek Amy". Shontelle's debut album, "Shontelligence" makes an appearance at number four whilst Jennifer Hudson's debut album re-enters the chart at number five.
