Week Four (22 March, 2009) - Singles Chart

The seemingly unstoppable Lady Gaga manages to secure a third week at number one with sales increasing for the third week running with the massive "Poker Face". After trying to claim the top spot for the past three weeks, Jennifer Hudson's latest single begins to lose steam and drops down to number three with September taking the number two spot with "Can't Get Over". Erinque remains at number four for a second week and Beyonce climbs back to her peak with "Halo". The Pussycat Dolls' latest offering shoots back up the chart, as does Metro Station with there debut UK single "Shake It" and The Noisettes with "Don't Upset The Rhythm". Britney holds strong at number nine with "If U Seek Amy" whilst her previous single, "Circus", manages to hitch up a few places to 16.

 

Three new entries make for a more fresh bottom half of the chart. These are "Stuck With Each Other" which sees Shontelle pair up with Akon; Girls Aloud with their third single, "Untouchable" and P!nk with her latest single "Please Don't Leave Me".

Lady Gaga manages to hold onto the top spot in the albums chart for a third week meaning she's once again topped both the singles and albums chart. Britney climbs again to take the number two spot and Shontelle follows in her foot steps by climbing one to number three. Lily Allen falls two places and sits at number four and we have a new-entry from Pussycat Dolls at number five.
